CHATEAU LOLA has looked on the verge of a return to top form the last twice and although pushed back up 2lb in the ratings for her troubles, Derek Shaw's filly is worth another chance today. Miss Bunter doesn't have many miles on the clock and knuckled down well to open her account over this C&D at the start of the month. An initial mark of 58 looks fair enough for her, while Volcanic Dust races off the same rating as when short-headed at Lingfield last week and she's dangerously well treated on the pick of her old form.

Top Tip: Chateau Lola (10)
Watch out for: Miss Bunter (3)

Volcanic Dust and Ryedale Dancer both took big steps in the right direction when runner-up in 5f handicaps last week, and it's the former who is taken to go one better. Miss Bunter remains unexposed, whilst Russian Bullet also makes some appeal on his return from a break.

LADY MALET has been knocking on the door and looks to have been found an ideal opportunity in which to break through. She was beaten when expected to strike over this C&D last weekend but it wasn't a disgraceful showing in second and a repeat performance may well suffice. Polar Forest was making her debut when finishing a long way behind the selection on Saturday and could get closer this time but it may be Al Gharrafa who ultimately poses the selection most problems, provided she steps up on her introductory effort at Kempton.

INVIGILATOR was in cracking form when last seen, winning here in September and returning to top spot in a soft-ground 5f handicap at Nottingham early last month. He was twice held off this all-weather mark over C&D during October but put up a brave effort on each occasion and he could yet have more to offer on this surface. Lord Buffhead is an obvious danger under a 6lb penalty for his recent course win over the minimum trip, while Little Perisher could go well at a more rewarding price, despite competing from 1lb out of the weights.

Watch out for: Lord Buffhead (6)

Invigilator won twice here earlier in the year prior to his latest turf success and looks the most solid option. Lisselton Cross is weighted to figure if refinding his form, while Colourbearer is another to consider given things haven't panned out to suit on his latest couple of starts.

SILVER WIND made a pleasing return to all-weather action when staying on for second behind Speightowns Kid over this track and trip late last month and the assessor may have been a little hasty in dropping him 1lb in the ratings. He has a wide draw to overcome but is fancied to swoop late to see off Rose Garnet, who backed up her Kempton win with a short-head second over 5f here last Friday. C&D winner Whipphound might be worth a glance for each-way players.

UNDER PAR was disappointing when dropped back to 5f at the start of the month but she was finishing strongly when a close third over 6f here on her penultimate start and looks worth another chance now returned to 7f. Michael's Nook is now 1lb lower than when successful over C&D in October 2011 but his record has been a shade patchy since, so perhaps the handily-drawn Dhhamaan is the one who could trouble the selection.

HARDY RED has to give lumps of weight away but he has held his form reasonably well since winning at Ffos Las nursery in September and is likely to appreciate a first shot at 7f given her win came on soft ground. Bix doesn't look worthy of his current official rating judged on his two most recent efforts and Imperial Spirit is considered a bigger threat to the selection as he has experience over this C&D.

An open handicap in which SPIFER might be the one to side with. He has struggled in the main this year having looked very promising in 2011 but last month's Lingfield spin was his first for new connections and he now has his sights lowered considerably. Classic Colori is well handicapped on the pick of his efforts but was bitterly disappointing in a Wolverhampton claimer last month. Rossetti isn't on a brilliant mark but could yet progress further, while Boonga Roogeta was progressing nicely before being tried over hurdles at Aintree recently and could improve on her effort (sixth) here yesterday.
