Amethyst Rose followed up her convincing Hexham success in good style at Sedgefield on Friday and she would deserve serious respect if turning out quickly in the hunt for the hat-trick. Both Be A Dreamer and The Backup Plan arrive on the back of falls and have points to prove, so MARKEM gets the vote. The valuable Seamour makes plenty of appeal after scoring on his debut over timber at Market Rasen but a 5lb penalty creates enough doubt with some potentially strong hurdling converts in the ranks. DEVILMENT - once purchased for 190,000gns - achieved a rating of 95 on the level and might have too much class for these rivals if taking to life over the smaller obstacles. The admirably consistent UPSILON BLEU isn't the easiest to win with so a successful trip to Auteuil recently will hopefully boost his confidence and galvanise him back over fences here. French Opera and De Boitron were well held in the Peterborough recently but can both do better back in handicap company. Back To Bracka was unfortunate to unseat his rider when hampered at Haydock and did score well over track and trip prior to that.

The form of NOTONEBUTTWO's recent Newcastle victory over fences is solid as two of his beaten foes have gone on to score since, so he gets the vote. The biggest danger could be Jac The Legend as he wasn't beaten by far on his reappearance at Huntingdon and should appreciate this extra yardage as a former point winner.
