Northandsouth struck off 5lb lower at Lingfield on his penultimate outing but pulled too hard when third at Warwick latest. If he can settle better this afternoon a big run could be on the cards, though preference is for Sedgefield scorer PRINCESS MONONOKE, who represents an in-form stable and is expected to take a 5lb rise in her stride. C&D winner Hartside, up 3lb for his recent Doncaster victory, is also considered.
PRINCESS MONONOKE took care of limited rivals with the minimum of fuss at Sedgefield 3 weeks ago and a 5 lb rise looks lenient. Hartside also tasted success last time and he too remains with handicap scope, while Northandsouth also arrives in a good vein of form.

FLEMERINA was putting in her best work in the closing stages after finding 2m3f on the sharp side at Market Rasen last time. Improvement is anticipated now Sue Smith steps her nine-year-old back up in trip. Massini's Lady has been knocking hard on the door since returning from a break and wouldn't be winning out of turn, while there was lots to like about Hepburn's recent Leicester second so she's another to bear in mind.
FLEMERINA has shown enough aptitude for chasing to think she can win a race in this sphere before long. Hepburn is evidently competitively handicapped, so would hold every chance on her chasing debut if reproducing her latest effort over hurdles, while Massini’s Lady is pick of the remainder.

It is interesting that Brian Hughes climbs back aboard MILLY BALOO who threw away a near certain victory at Catterick last time when running out at the last. The assistance of the leading northern rider can keep her on the straight and narrow here and she can take this at the expense of Lunar Flow, who is heading in the right direction and a tongue-tie comes on now as well as the blinkers. San Pietro and Sue Smith's Just Georgie are other possible winners.
LUNAR FLOW may have gone off too hard when a creditable second over C&D last time and remains fairly treated. He has had a wind operation since and could be the answer here. Milly Baloo would have scored at Catterick last time, but for running out late on, and rates the principal danger. San Pietro is also respected.

It's O Kay, a half-sister to the useful Copper Kay, was a beaten favourite at Doncaster on her debut but is capable of finishing much better closer this time around and is sure to be a popular choice. Paper Promise was impressive when a seven-length victor at Musselburgh last time and is penalised accordingly, so preference is for MAEBH, who was a taking winner here last time when outbattling a well-regarded rival, and there should be more to come up in trip.
The fact IT'S O KAY went off a short-priced favourite in a big-field event at Doncaster on debut suggests she's highly thought of and she can strike at the second time of asking under Richard Johnson. Maebh was successful over 1½m here last month but her pedigree suggests she'll be better suited by this longer distance and she may provide the main threat ahead of Musselburgh-scorer Paper Promise.
