IGO CLEA (10) raced better here last time than the result would imply and, with more luck in running, can set the record straight. IMPERIAL COGLAIS (3) was surprisingly out of sorts at Laval but has previously won under these conditions and must be respected. Runner-up on 4 successive occasions this term, ILONA DES MOYEUX (8) steps up in category, is just unshod in front this time, but is tenacious enough to finish in the mix.

He will nevertheless face stiff opposition from the ultra-consistent, and recent Class D course-and-distance winner, HANNIBAL TUILERIE (11) who looks good enough to overcome the 25m handicap. The temperamental HASIR (3) returned to winning ways earlier in the month, is well-entered, and is not here for reasons of tourism. Something out of the ordinary, KAPITANO DE SOURCE (8) took quite the leap in class here late last month to impose with authority, and is guaranteed to attract the lion's share of support. The well-regarded, but capricious, KRISTAL JOSSELYN (9), ran a respectable 2nd to him in the Gr.3 Yearling Cup and is again expected to form the backbone of the opposition. KNOCKONWOOD (6) has climbed the class ladder in good order and will be dangerous if Franck Nivard assures his initial strides. KOMPOSTEL (7) is confirmed at a superior level and could well bounce back from his recent Gr.2 disappointment.

Something of a revelation since returning to racing barefoot, JOY DU RIF (15) has been entrusted to Eric Raffin for the occasion and can make it three wins on the trot. JOIE GIBUS (6) is no slouch either and will be able to apply the pressure if she reproduces her Cabourg performance. The talented but delicate JUST GLORY (9) would have finished close last time had she not faulted, but can make amends if Yoann Lebourgeois manages to keep her trotting. JOUTE VINIERE (5) made her mark here three weeks ago and will be no pushover.

After a tough start to his career, KONTIO DE LOU (11) appears to have got his house in order and, with form maintained, can confirm his Sables-d'Olonne victory. Eric Raffin has opted for KILT (2) who is like a horse reborn since leaving the harness code behind. KRACK DESBOIS (5) has shown promise and, if fully fit following the layoff, can trot his way onto the podium. KAPITANO VALOU (7) has done everything right since his sanctioned debut and looks thoroughly capable of challenging for a place in the frame.
