The booking of Jason Maguire aboard Cloudy Deal catches the eye, although Martin Todhunter's charge has something to prove after a disappointing first foray into handicap company, so preference is for COME ON ANNIE. The seven-year-old proved she could be competitive off this sort of mark when third on her seasonal bow and the return to a testing surface is a positive. Jonjo O'Neill's pair warrant maximum respect, especially Catching On, who begins life in handicaps off a lowly mark.

With Richard Lee's string in excellent form, including the Welsh Grand National winner last weekend, TRESOR DE BONTEE makes plenty of appeal on his chase debut. The six-year-old performed admirably over timber last term and tackles fences off a fair mark with the ground in his favour. Lord Of House, successful at Wincanton on Boxing Day, warrants plenty of respect under a penalty, while Ironic is better than he showed last time and will appreciate this easier surface.

Madness Light is an interesting handicap debutant having made short work of a novice field last time, while Oscatara could be leniently treated judged on two promising runs under Rules last term.
