Fassaroe is one of the most experienced hurdlers here and can be given a chance on the pick of his form but might be vulnerable to a less-exposed type. Wester Ross has been highly tried over timber and looks a leading player in this company but preference is for ERMINE SEA, who just missed out over 2m 3f at Fontwell on just his second start over hurdles. This is slightly tougher but he looks open to plenty of improvement.
Quipe Me Posted makes most appeal of the hurdling debutants, but Fassaroe is taken to belatedly open his account over timber on his reappearance. Timocracy may sneak into a place.

Aberdale, a bumper winner over 2m here, should be well prepared for his first run over timber. Tanks For That was well beaten over this trip at Lingfield last time but can be given every chance on the form that saw him land a 2m 1f Sandown novice hurdle. He'll need his best, however, to take on the hat-trick seeking DAURICA, twice a winner at Southwell. He was a very easy scorer in handicap company last time and will take all the beating here.
A decent race on paper in which a serious case can be made for a handful of the field. Daurica and Tanks For That set the standard having won over hurdles earlier in the year, but the progressive Aberdale is taken to make a successful start to his jumping career.

None of these have seen a fence in public before but CAST CADA has by far the best form over hurdles, winning at Southwell last time with some ease in a decent handicap. His yard has an excellent strike-rate with its chasers and this one is sure to be well-prepared for this. On his hurdling form, Finney looks the danger but Tragic Realm can be given a chance on his best form and Morning Moment has winning form in point-to-points.
Cast Cada has a fair bit in hand on hurdles form, and is fully expected to make a successful chasing debut, at the main expense of Finney.

Prince Egor might go well first time over timber but his long absence is a worry. This should go to BERT'S MEMORY, well beaten over C&D in a similar contest but who turned in a much better performance over 2m at Towcester in tougher company. He looks on an upward curve and can land this.
A weak seller in which Bet Noir is just preferred to Feeling. Hurdling debutant Prince Egor could take a hand if fully tuned up after a long absence.

In a wide-open contest it should pay to side with THEHONOURABLELADY, who showed a welcome return to form with a comfortable win over 2m 4f at Worcester in a better contest this month. She has another 12lb to carry as a result but has won of a 4lb higher mark in the past and had plenty in hand last time. Dovedale is chasing a hat-trick and has claims here despite a 7lb penalty while Even Flo, Cobbler's Queen and Rare Article can all be given chances.
Dovedale is red-hot at present, the way she routed her rivals at Exeter last time suggesting the hat-trick is not beyond her reach. Both Devon Native and Cobbler's Queen are at a fitness disadvantage, though they each did enough when last seen to suggest they will be a force to be reckoned with.

This looks an ideal opportunity for Jonjo Milczarek, brother of Flat jockey Kirsty, to record his first win under rules, courtesy of RAPPEL D'ESTRUVAL.
