DANCE TEMPO got the run of the race at Worcester last time but he was well on top at the finish and there could be more to come from him over hurdles. Cabimas was an impressive winner on his hurdling debut at Newton Abbot last month and he is accorded the utmost respect. Evan Williams' duo, Diddy Brown and Bombel, should be monitored in the market on their respective debuts.
Market support for Ahyaknowyerself on his debut for Dr Richard Newland would bring him into the reckoning, but as things stand previous winners Cabimas and Dance Tempo look the pair to focus on, the former preferred as he's already proven himself under testing conditions.

PEAKS OF FIRE was a shade disappointing at Sedgefield last time and he is becoming expensive to follow, but he meets all of his rivals here on much better terms than he would in a handicap and he should take all the beating. Mwaleshi posted an improved effort when runner-up at Market Rasen last month and he could be in the shake-up. Rock Me John could also make his presence felt.
Peaks Of Fire is proven under testing conditions and is a strong fancy to bounce back from a recent blip in this easier grade. Mwaleshi offered a good deal more from the front last time and looks the most likely to chase him home.

Melua Maid was in good heart earlier this year and she might have been freshened up by her short break so she has to be on the shortlist here. Highland River performed with credit at Fontwell last month and he has each-way prospects but it might pay to take a chance on EARL GREZ. He is fairly handicapped on his best form and can play a leading role on his first run for Peter Bowen this evening.
Melua Maid has looked an entirely different proposition since switched to chasing, losing no caste in defeat when runner-up at Hexham in April and has sound prospects of regaining the winning thread under similar conditions. Highland River didn't do too badly on his chase debut and looks the best alternative, with doubts hanging over the rest.

Pickworth is on a hat-trick but she is now 11lb higher than when completing the first leg of her double, while Southway Star is also in fine form at present and she must be respected but the handicapper has tightened his grip somewhat. Rhyming Sky is interesting on her handicap debut and confidence behind Doble Ve in the betting market would make her of interest. MARIE DES ANGES showed signs of promise in three runs over hurdles last season and her opening mark of 98 could be within her capabilities.
Marie des Anges showed ability in 3 starts for Alison Thorpe and is a likely improver now handicapping, but this test may be too much for her, so Southway Star could be the answer despite a hike in the weights. Cresswell Bramble has been hit hard for her recent win, but completes the shortlist.

A competitive contest and a case can be made for a few of them. Kilmore West has been raised 5lb for his Ffos Las win last time but he could be on the premises nonetheless. His stablemate, Captain Scarlett, also merits respect, along with the in form Marju King. ALWAYS BOLD has not been at his best this year but he is far from impossibly handicapped on his best form. Stamina and soft ground are his forte and he could bounce back this evening.
Marju King arrives here at the top of his game, but his stamina will be put firmly to the test under these conditions, so proven mudlark Kilmore West is selected instead. Sparkling Tara is also of interest.

BARTON CLICHE travelled nicely for a long way at Newton Abbott over 2m6f last time and providing the drop to 2m does not catch him out, he can go well this evening. Stormhoek is far from impossibly handicapped on his best form but he is ideally suited by a stiffer test. Whatshallwedo was disappointing at Ffos Las last time but he had been progressive prior to that and he should not be overlooked.
Whatshallwedo was disappointing switched to hurdles last time, but appeals as being a better chaser than hurdler and is taken to add to his tally back over fences here. Both Barton Cliche and Stormhoek look ideally suited by further than this minimum trip, but conditions should bring their stamina into play and the pair can follow him home in that order.

SOLWAY DANDY made a pleasing debut over this C&D last month and he is entitled to improve with that experience under his belt so he can go close tonight. Breakoutthebooze was far from disgraced at Hereford last time and if he finds some more improvement then he could be in the mix. Rio Carlos and Dunlin Flyer both make some appeal on paper and they should be monitored for market support.
Solway Dandy is best of those with experience but that's hardly saying much and Alan Swinbank's Dunlin Flyer won't have to be anything special to make a winning start to his career.
