Verdict

Competitive. SHINTO SHRINE finished 2nd in both starts, the latest in open company over 1450m, so wouldn't be winning out of turn. However, he'll need to improve to go one better with TOKYO MEDAGLIA, who also filled the runners-up berth on debut, likely to fight for victory given the benefit of that promising introductory outing. SERRANO and ZAFAR have shown enough to make their presence felt. PEACE TREATY is another open to improvement on his reappearance after a rest, during which he was gelded. Watch the betting on the newcomers.

Verdict

FESTIVAL OF MAGIC has had his issues but looked to have overcome them when finishing a pleasing 2nd in his latest comeback outing over 1400m. He would've tightened up and will be better suited to this trip, so is good value to go one better. Young filly HAT'S QUEEN, with the aid of a 4kg apprentice allowance, gets 11kg from that rival and should confirm the promise of her debut 3rd over 1450m with natural improvement expected. Verdict

VOLARE E MAMBO and ZENOBIA'S GOLD have improved with blinkers fitted and are closely matched on recent form. The former renews rivalry with her last-start conqueror on 1kg better terms, so could turn the tables. SOLO DIVA didn't finish a long way adrift of that pair last time and should pose more of a threat on these revised terms. FLAMBOYANT FLYER and MIGHTY GODDESS will acquit themselves competitively if repeating their improved recent performances, though the same could be said of PRINCESS ILARIA. Unexposed REDCHERRY LANE showed her inexperience last time but shouldn't be hastily condemned.

Verdict

Good race. ANDI'S GIRL was an authoritative winner of her last start over 1600m and a 3-point penalty is unlikely to halt her momentum. However, on the form of an earlier meeting, both MAGICAL FLIGHT and DUENNA are weighted to be competitive. CALLMEWHENUNEEDME, CAPE LIGHTS and MIA FIORE are consistent performers at this level and can't be underestimated either. KEY ELEMENT got her career back on track with a reassuring 3rd over 1600m at this venue last time and need only confirm that improvement to make her presence felt. Tricky.

Verdict

CHASING HAPPINESS has made two encouraging comeback appearances and is neatly drawn in her peak outing, so is likely to play a prominent role in the finish. SIGRID SWING didn't go unnoticed when finishing behind that rival on her return from a rest and is weighted to pose more of a threat with improved fitness on her side. WOMEN OF FAME and WAR QUEEN are closely matched on the form of a recent 1000m meeting. Both are effective over 1200m so should remain competitive.
