Jim Bolger holds a strong hand with Flying Visit and Verbal Fencing. The former made all to score by six lengths in Listowel while the latter is on a hat-trick after victories in Down Royal and Naas. Perhaps Aidan O'Brien's SAN MARTINO will have their measure, though. He lost out by a head in a premier nursery when last seen at Listowel in September. That form got a boost when the horse that beat him took the runner-up berth in Listed company at Dundalk last week. Snowy Owl wasn't far off San Martino in fourth at Listowel and is more than entitled to be on the premises on these terms.

Salsa sets the standard with her experience and rating of 84, however, she wouldn't want it to get too deep in Thurles. She missed an engagement at Killarney on Sunday due to yielding to soft ground. There is plenty of rain in the forecast, therefore, an each-way play on KELLS could reap a dividend. FOREIGN LEGION could be one for Shane Foley in the jockeys' title race. This five-year-old gelding's recent form has a solid look to it. He chased home a horse in Listowel who then followed up in Tipperary, and then Foreign Legion scored himself in Listowel as he beat a fancied standing-dish there. Foley was on board for that breakthrough Irish victory (on heavy ground). He has four all-weather surface victories from Britain in his locker. Scherzando is the danger with Joey Sheridan again claiming 5lb from him. The pair won by a head at Dundalk last Friday night, and the four-year-old gelding was placed on soft ground at Limerick in September. The consistent Adapt To Dan should run his race.

Colin Keane gets on FLINDT for the first time and the pair have every chance. This is a marked step up in trip for Silver Fox. He could appreciate it but if the ground deteriorates then it becomes a more difficult task, so he may be best watched. SNEGUROCHKA is an out-and-out stayer who will be coming home stronger than most over this distance. She has won two bumpers and shown ability in a flat maiden when keeping on for third over a mile and a half in Listowel. She has each-way claims at a price. Arcadian Sunrise, who won a novice hurdle at Leopardstown in March, is dangerous as is Monopoly who was placed over a stiff mile and five furlongs in Navan. Cheekpieces are now tried on him. Hearts Are Trumps has a hurdle rating of 138 and has his first crack at a maiden on the flat. He is an interesting contender.
