PINK SORREL shaped with plenty of promise on her debut in a decent looking maiden at Punchestown and is fancied to take a step forward now. The daughter of Zoffany finished off well when third to Gozen and that form got a significant boost when the runner-up Basil Martini landed a Group 3 contest at the Curragh recently. Pink Sorrel looks like she should benefit from going another furlong now. The regally-bred Delightful has run well on her two outings to date and is an obvious danger. She finished third after making the running at Gowran last time and like a lot of the Ballydoyle fillies she could improve again with racing. Foniska stepped forward from her initial run when chasing home Be Happy at Cork and that form got a boost when the third horse Speirling Beag went on to win the maiden at Gowran in which Delightful was third.

RATTLE AND HUM may be worth another shot here despite finishing last in a sales race at the Curragh last time out. The New Bay colt had shaped with promise on his debut at Galway, when a staying on third to Evening's Empire after meeting traffic, and was well backed into favouritism that day. Dropping back to six probably wasn't ideal last time and he was eased when his chance had gone. Over a mile now he should be capable of a better showing. Ard Mhacha sets the standard here with an official mark of 74. He weakened tamely enough at Naas last time but had been third on his two previous outings and commands respect on that form. It's interesting that Colin Keane rides Shangrilama from the two Noel Meade runners. She has a nice weight in this and stayed on well when fourth over a furlong shorter at Down Royal on her most recent start.

A competitive race for the grade with four coming into it in winning form. FASTMAN might be able to go in again after getting his head in front at Bellewstown eight days ago. That was his first win in four years but he had been very consistent recently before gaining that victory. Siobhan Rutledge takes 5lb off his back now after he got a 8lb rise for that success. Qaabil landed a nice touch at Gowran Park in late August and he has to be respected after effectively only going up 6lb for that convincing win. Softer ground would be a slight worry however. Take My Hand has been knocking on the door and with a few of these having gone up in the handicap recently she would have a chance now.

DARK VEGA catches the eye stepping up in trip after keeping on to be placed in her last three outings. She ran on strongly for second in Punchestown last month and has gone well on deep ground before. Aidan O'Brien's Forever And Always enters handicap company off a mark of 74 and didn't run badly when fourth over a similar trip on soft ground in a fillies' maiden at Galway last month. She is a sister of the stable's top-class The Gurkha and, while things haven't worked out for her yet, she could do some damage off this mark. Sir Allen clearly relishes testing conditions and stayed on well to come home third over 1m4f at Listowel. This is tougher, but he could improve. Saturn Five is up in trip and hasn't raced on ground slower than good to yielding, however, he won over 1m1f at Punchestown and the runner-up has boosted the form. Zoffman is another with claims.

RUMI has to be tempting off a mark of 64 after he won his maiden hurdle by eight lengths on Irish debut at Listowel. He ran on the Flat in Britain for Roger Charlton and forced a dead heat in Kempton during that spell. He was impressive off the front on his first start for Edward O'Grady, who spoke highly of him afterwards, and said he doesn't envisage soft ground being an issue. The Truant beat Derrinlaur by a neck when they were second and third respectively over an extended 1m6f at Listowel. Slight preference is for the latter who has been placed over further than this. An in-form The Truant is up in trip, but should give another good account of himself. Advantage Point and Killarney handicap hurdle winner Buttons And Bows have the form to get involved. First-reserve Sequoiaspirit would be interesting if getting a run.

HERMINE won her bumper on debut at Kilbeggan by a whopping nine lengths. She is a strong galloper who ran too freely when sixth in a Flat maiden at Gowran Park. The hood is reached for and could make a big difference. She hasn't raced on testing ground, but it isn't usually an issue for progeny of Authorized. The Very Man has every chance of grabbing his first victory on the Flat. He has been some money-spinner with five hurdle victories in addition to a chase and a bumper. He is rated 81 in this discipline by virtue of finishing runner-up on both starts. Crucially, he is more than adept on deep ground. Royal Romeo arrives on the back of a maiden hurdle success in Navan, and could improve upon a fourth place in his sole race on the Flat at Roscommon.
