MUTED WORD has yet to finish out of the frame in five visits here (winning the last three) and looks sure to take all the beating. Pot Of Gold is most feared after his easy track and trip win latest, while a drop in grade could see College Grad could go close.
DOWN THE ROOF did the job nicely on her racetrack debut over 5 1/2f here last month and, likely to improve for this step up in trip, she gets the vote to follow up. Amongst the dangers are Lucy Ring and She's A Rockette.
MARLETTE produced his best effort yet when third over slightly further here last month and, entitled to strip fitter for that first start since March last year, he could take all the beating tonight. What A Loosecannon and Sayyourpraysnow are others to consider.
THRILL FACTOR posted his best effort yet when running on into second over 7f here last month and, open to more improvement around this trip, gets the vote to go one better here. Tour The Place is entitled to improve with the benefit of his debut run behind him and has place claims, along with Radar Of Love and Cafe Des Artistes.
SNOW FAIR hinted her turn was near when grabbing second here last time and is taken to go one better while evidently in good heart. Viv's Tiara, third behind the selection latest, is feared most. Tuoublierasmonnom looks best of the rest.
MISS BETTY P faded in the finish over 1m at Gulfstream Park last time but is expected to relish this drop in trip now eased in grade. The consistent Carolyn M. has shown promise in two sprint runs to date and looks the main danger if her stamina holds out. Final Escrow looks the pick of the newcomers and is worth a market check.
ASTUTE was running with credit at Arlington Park last year and, if fully wound up to go on his first start since September, is expected to finish in the mix tonight now eased in grade. Terminal One and Independent George make the most appeal of the remainder.
ACTION ANDY netted in the $60,000 Pelican Stakes when last sighted and arrives here in good spirits. Carlos Garcia's gelding had the reopposing Good Lord (second) behind on that occasion and is expected to confirm those placings, while Close It Out is another to be wary of.
FEDERATION made it looks easy in similar company when having her first start for Christophe Clement latest and the former Roger Charlton inmate can continue the winning trend on a repeat. Lucky Lass and Huxley Winner makes most appeal of the others.
CONGRATULATOR is dropped in class for this claimer and is expected to have enough for his rivals if the form of last October (when he scored in an allowance contest) can be reproduced. Golf Pal and Playa Negra rate pick of the remainder.
