Any market move for Skybull, who hails from the family of Tidal Bay, on his racecourse bow would be interesting while Cloudy Too travelled well before tiring and finishing third over C&D last time and should improve for that first run back from a break. Eighteen Carat has obvious claims of defying his penalty gained for a success at Aintree on his penultimate start but MALIN BAY has some fair form to his credit and this looks to represent a decent opportunity to get off the mark.
Eighteen Carat and Malin Bay set quite an exacting standard and should fight out the finish, with a narrow preference for the former. Cloudy Too looks third best.

Howard Johnson landed the corresponding event 12 months ago with Gringo and can repeat the trick with a similar sort in FUSHE JO. Rated about the best of these over timber, the seven-year-old has ideal conditions for his chasing bow and is preferred to Lightening Rod. Mick Easterby's gelding was two lengths down in third when coming down at the last over 2m4f here last month and a clear round should see him mount a bold bid. Ferdy Murphy usually begins to fire around this time of year and Catch Bob should appreciate a drop to the minimum trip after failing to last home over 2m4f at Ayr in January.
Lightening Rod must go close if his final-fence fall hasn't affected him, and Fushe Jo possesses enough ability to win if taking to fences, but Catch Bob is the percentage call.

Matmata De Tendron revels in a stamina test such as this and, as a four times course winner, has to be respected from a fair mark. However, ONTRACK finished over 12 lengths in front of that rival when scoring in determined fashion over the C&D last time and, with further improvement looking assured after six starts, Rose Dobbin's gelding can defy a 3lb higher mark. Last year's winner Oniz Tiptoes was back in second in the aforementioned contest but lacks the scope of the selection with Wor Rom looking the pick for minor honours.
Wor Rom is holding his form well and is narrowly preferred in what looks a competitive affair, with C&D winner Ontrack an obvious danger and Bollin Fiona a potential improver now given a stamina test.

Dark Gentleman finished tailed off in a moderate event at Newcastle last time and isn't the easiest to predict while Panthers Run (second) and Teenando (third) are closely matched on their run over slightly further here last month. However, MANSONIEN L'AS has the scope to improve given he is only five and although he has taken time to acclimatise since coming over from France, this represents his easiest task to date and he begins life in handicap company off a very lowly mark.
Mansonien L'As looks the type to improve now he moves into handicaps and can capitalise on his best opportunity so far. Dark Gentleman and Teenando are others to consider.

There have to be reservations regarding the jumping of Gavroche Gaugain but there is no doubting he has the ability to land an event such as this from his current mark and a clear round would make him difficult to beat. However, LERIDA looks a safer option after his latest second over C&D and he is marginally preferred. Whatcanyasay has shown little in recent starts but all four of his wins have come at this venue and, given his current mark, any positive market signals would be interesting.
Lerida had Authentic Act behind him over C&D last time, but there's a chance the latter will improve for that initial experience of fences and he's taken to turn the tables. Troodos Jet is another to include in calculations.

Classic Henri has half-a-length to make up with Sea Cliff on their running over C&D in January and although there promises to be little to choose between the pair once again, Brian Harding's mount can exact his revenge on 1lb better terms. Sharadiyn ran well to finish third at Wetherby on his return from a break but SOME CATCH is open to further progress after only five starts and any improvement on his latest fourth at Wetherby would make him difficult to beat receiving weight all round.
Not much to choose between a few here, but Classic Henri has progressed with each run this year and is taken to edge out Sharadiyn and Sam Patch.
