Classy Flat-recruit SUMMER MOON will be tough to beat if he can transfer his ability to hurdling. He was last seen running off a mark of 104 when finishing second in the 2020 Cesarewitch at Newmarket, which is arguably his most striking piece of form. Onesmoothoperator also makes his debut over timber and, like the selection, is sure to have been well schooled for this introduction. Enthused is another who lacks hurdling experience but might still be the best of the rest.
ONESMOOTHOPERATOR and Summer Moon are a pair of very interesting hurdling debutants given the level form they bring from the Flat. The latter represents a yard that's been struggling of late (had a rare recent winner on Monday, mind) and may be seen in a better light over slightly further, so the former is narrowly preferred.

September was a profitable month for MINELLA VOUCHER as he fought his way to three wins in the space of 25 days. The veteran does not have to carry a penalty for the most recent of those victories and merits plenty of respect. Oceans Red and Kiltorcan Boy have both been placed at this sort of level recently and can at least help to ensure that the selection doesn't have it all his own way.

Reve De Niamh made a pleasing start to her racing career when running on for second in a bumper in January and she has to be of interest. SONNING put in a much-improved effort when finishing third over C&D 34 days ago and, with the victor winning again since, he could prove tough to beat off 3lb higher. Spantik has a win and a second to his name at this course and he could prove to be the biggest threat to the selection after some solid efforts on the Flat. Kayfast Warrior ran better than the bare form suggests at Market Rasen and he also merits respect.
SONNING produced his best effort for this yard by some way when third over C&D a month ago, chasing home a pair of next-time-out winners, and he now looks ready to cash in on his attractive mark. Kayfast Warrior is an obvious threat, with Malangen another to consider back in trip.

He's respected, but the seven-year-old makes he makes his return over a trip that looks on the sharp side and so he may be worth taking on with GLADIATORIAL.
