Russian Rascal finds himself 11lb higher than when successful over course and distance during the summer, but despite that burden, a return to this venue may inspire a repeat of his best following a break. Budarri had been in good order earlier this year and can be forgiven his Carlisle display back on a faster surface now, while Outcrop is respected off the same mark as when making the podium at Bangor. Hey Bob bumped into a winner which has gone on to frank the form with two further victories when second over track and trip latest. However, a chance is taken on Sam England's dual course winner MY RENAISSANCE. He is well treated switching back to hurdles off a 12lb lower mark than his chase rating and the newly applied cheekpieces could keep him switched on to aid a clean, confidence boosting round of jumping.
BUDARRI twice went close during early summer and, having shaped better than the bare result on return from 4 months off at Carlisle 2 weeks ago, he could be worth chancing to open his account. Captain Brown has fallen plenty in the weights and requires a market check under Brian Hughes, whilst Outcrop is also worth a second look.

He ran to a good level over hurdles from a slightly higher rating last season and could potentially improve for switching to the larger obstacles. Black Art is a dual course winner, including when accounting for the selection over timber in January, but he is 1lb worse off on today's figures and has to concede race-fitness. Dallas Cowboy wasn't disgraced on his opening outing for John Wainwright and can't be dismissed.

COLBY shaped well on his opening hurdles outing over 2m4f here during the spring and could easily build on that moving slightly up in trip following a summer of strengthening. He has the assistance of Brian Hughes and looks a gelding with huge potential for the future over staying distances. Ask Paddington hasn't been disgraced the last twice and could have a part to play up in distance, while Sheriff Garrett is heading the other way and dropping back in milage having found 2m7f too tough at Market Rasen. WESTERN SUNRISE was no match for Miss Mash when runner-up at Newton Abbot on her latest start but this consistent individual can get her head back in front. More Than Luck could feasibly take a step forward on his second outing after a wind operation and was impressive when last seen over timber at Fontwell, while Same Circus is a lot better than what she showed at Cartmel in May.
MORE THAN LUCK arrives on the back of a couple of good efforts and is narrowly preferred to the consistent Western Sunrise. Same Circus was well held when last seen in the spring but has won off this mark over fences and is another who could go well after a break.

QUESTION OF FAITH hasn't ran over timber for 965 days but could be fairly handicapped judged by her recent forays on the Flat. A winner in the opposite code at Catterick in September rated 72, Martin Todhunter's mare makes plenty of appeal running off a hurdles mark of 93 today. She can get the better of Secret Escape, who will have benefited from a 103-day break, and Champagne To Go, third when last seen at Hexham.
This is a rather belated second spell hurdling for QUESTION OF FAITH, but she's more than paid her way on the level in recent times and her mark is an attractive one in this sphere. Secret Escape should push her rating up this season given her bumper ability and is second choice, with Champagne To Go best of the rest.
