LADY OF GOLD finished a close third in similar company here last month and won't have to improve a great deal to land the spoils. Also noted are Bold Kitten and Majestic Marquet.
JOSHANS GIANT has done enough in two starts to suggest a maiden of this nature is within her grasp and she can make it third time lucky at the expense of Brad's Ruby and Marriedtomichael.
BANANA THIEF was probably left with too much to do when only fifth here latest and he's worth another look based on an eye-catching debut effort in July. Others to keep onside are Elusive New Yorker and Eddie Boots.
Competitive Edge wasn't cheap and made a highly encouraging start to his career here in July, but I SPENT IT edges the vote on the basis that he won a Grade 2 in good style here last month. Requite rates best of the rest.
SHIMBA improved on a decent debut effort when second here in July and a big performance looks on the cards with further improvement anticipated. Curious Cal and Freudex are also taken seriously.
LIVE IN JOY has been contesting more valuable claimers than this of late and is expected to bounce back now eased in grade. Majestic Raffy and Where's Danny can also make their presence felt.
CARPE DIEM fetched a whopping $600,000 as a yearling and big things are expected from the son of Giant's Causeway on his debut. Because I'm Happy and Louisiana Brown are also noted in a good looking maiden.
SUCCESSFUL RUNNER opened his account in good style at Belmont in July when front-running tactics brought about a good level of improvement. There should be more to come after just seven starts and he can score at the expense of Grand Strand and C J's Awesome.
Lunar Rover could hardly have been more impressive when bolting up here in July, but preference is for the experience of RING WEEKEND and he was last seen finishing second in a $100,000 stakes race. Life In Shambles can also play his part in proceedings.
SHANKOPOTAMUS is two wins from two starts for new trainer Jeremiah Englehart and is tough to oppose given he's three wins from six starts (including two seconds) at this track. My Tee Time and Capital City are expected to put up most resistance to the selection.
