HUDSON DE GRUGY made an encouraging UK debut when second over C&D on testing ground last month and can go one better. A French bumper winner from the family of Sire De Grugy, the Gary Moore-trained juvenile looks likely to be handed a positive ride once more and should jump with more fluency this time. Hystery Bere was successful over hurdles in France when last seen in July and is worth respecting alongside Cloud Thunder, who ran out at Kempton just six days ago.

Stormy Ireland was out of her depth in the International at Cheltenham and needs more here, despite taking a drop in class. Quick Wave fell over fences on her reappearance at Exeter, and perhaps this can go the way of WHITEHOTCHILLIFILI. Harry Fry's seven-year-old only found a progressive mare too good over C&D and although there are reservations over her stamina, she is fancied to claim top honours. Robin Gold has won four of her last five and deserves to take this step up in class for a team in flying form.

POTTERS LEGEND had several of these in behind when scoring at Warwick on his return to action and backed that effort up with a decent second at Cheltenham, despite being flattered somewhat by the winner trying to pull himself up. Totterdown is likely to ensure a strong gallop, which could play into the hands of the 2019 winner MONSIEUR LECOQ. Jane Williams' gelding enjoyed a consistent season last term, which included victory in the Welsh Champion Hurdle, and he has been given a chance by the handicapper following a couple of below-par efforts this campaign. Things haven't gone to plan over fences for Dovecote winner Highway One O Two, having failed to complete at Ffos Las and Carlisle, but he is of interest back over the smaller obstacles.
