Tapeten Toni put in by far the best effort of his fledgling career when second at Catterick and he is evidently heading the right way, while on the face of it WINTER POWER took a slight step back from her debut third at Newcastle when filling the same place, beaten four lengths further, at Wolverhampton. However, Tim Easterby's filly was unfortunate to bump into Super Sprint runner-up Jojo Rabbit and should find this company less tough. Stay Smart, a winner on debut, has been given a wind operation and could improve for it, while Colton was a fair third at Musselburgh and is not without claims either.

Watch out for: Tapeten Toni (3)

The strength behind WINTER POWER in the betting on both her starts suggests she's thought capable of better than she's been able to show and she could outclass this opposition on nursery debut. Stay Smart is sure to have a say if recapturing the level he showed when winning on his debut, while Tapeten Toni improved when narrowly denied at Catterick last time and is also respected.

Now in the hands of Richard Fahey, he ran two solid races at Newmarket before finding things far too difficult in the Norfolk. His new handler could have found him an ideal opening in this. Fools Rush In ran well for second at Windsor and cannot be ruled out, while Spycatcher fetched 90,000gns at the sales and could be the pick of the newcomers.

HARRY'S RIDGE has been steadily warming to his task this season and followed up a fair third at Haydock over 7f with a good second at Ripon. Eric Alston's charge is taken to get the better of Northern Queen, who got up late at Ayr last time but was well beaten when last tried at this track. Tiltilys Rock has been campaigned over the minimum trip of late, striking at Catterick and Beverley, but the way he won the latter of those races up the stiff finish on the Westwood suggests this extra furlong might suit.

Top Tip: Harry's Ridge (7)
Watch out for: Northern Queen (1)

HARRY'S RIDGE hasn't been having much luck and is taken to get off the mark here. Ayr-winner Northern Queen is feared, while it wouldn't be a surprise to see Ruby Dream reverse Beverley form with Tiltilys Rock and go close.

Roong Roong has arguably the best form of those who have tasted racecourse action, but her eighth of 19 at Newbury was well over a year ago. Stand Free ran a fair race at 100/1 when fifth at Newcastle but it's fair to say the raced brigade don't set the bar too high for the newcomers. SARSANET could be the pick of those, as she fetched 54,000 euros at the sales and represents a John Quinn yard that is in reasonable form at present.

William Haggas' filly ran a solid race when third on debut at Newmarket and followed that up with an agonising defeat at Yarmouth, where she led close home but was pipped on the line. The daughter of Invincible Spirit can go one better here at the main expense of Dreamloper, who was beaten a length into third at Doncaster latest, and Little Downs, who makes the long trip up from Richard Hannon's yard, having filled third spot at Salisbury when last seen.

Moretti has been raised 5lb for her victory at Thirsk but she beat Great Colaci, who has since gone close at Ayr and gives the form a solid look. A 4lb pull in the weights could give the latter a chance in this, but preference is for ALIENTO, who was a good second when returned to this trip at Ayr, despite being short of room in the closing stages. Michael Dods' mare gets another chance off the same mark and that could see her back to winning ways. Lincoln Gamble, Midnight In Havana and Constant are others to note.

CATCH MY BREATH landed the victory his form since the restart deserved when accounting for Dreamseller at Ayr, and they look the pair to concentrate on once again. John Ryan's four-year-old was a length and a half clear on that occasion and is narrowly preferred to come out on top under a 5lb penalty. Curfewed is only 1lb higher than for his recent Pontefract second and is respected, while Harbour Vision and Mr Strutter could offer each-way value.

Watch out for: Dreamseller (14)

Given that the majority of these look pretty exposed, lightly-raced 4-y-o SORBONNE may be worth chancing. Clearly in need of the run when upped to 1¼m on his reappearance at Pontefract, he should be sharper now and is appealing back at this trip off a 2 lb lower mark. There are dangers aplenty, headed by recent Ayr 1-2 Catch My Breath and Dreamseller, while Harbour Vision also has claims.

William Buick gave him a good ride on that occasion and will be looking to do something similar here off a 7lb higher mark. Silver Samurai bumped into Britannia runner-up Finest Sound when second at Haydock and has to be respected, while War Defender has been getting better with each start and was narrowly denied on his handicap debut at Newcastle.
