He's On His Way has impressed in his work and could take a hand in the finish here on his racecourse debut. Yodelmeister may have lost his way but has claims on his third in this grade over C&D three starts ago. However, he finished a fair way behind the second, NORMAN CONQUEROR. Louis Linder's charge isn't the most reliable but has the ability to see off these rivals.
Hard to rule any of these out but MAMA GET EVEN, who can be forgiven her flop over a severely inadequate trip here two starts ago, looks the one to be on. After landing a $12.5k maiden claimer over 7f here, she's been placed twice over a route in $15k claimers at this track and should prove too good dropped in class tonight. I'm Wanted, winner of a $25k maiden claimer over 6f here last time, could prove the danger but the progressive Uno Touch, a maiden winner over 7f here last time, can't be ruled out.
Driven By Fear was just pipped by Steady Gentleman in a $12.5k maiden claimer over a route here two starts ago but landed a similar contest over the same track and trip next time and still looks on an upward curve. Dollar Mountain and Nicetoseey'again were second and third in a $10k claimer over C&D last time and seem sure to be thereabouts again but preference in this trappy contest is for BIRD'S I D, second in a similar contest over a route here this month and open to further improvement after just five starts.
This could go the way of the progressive NORTH RANGE. Winner of a $15k maiden claimer at Hawthorne on his second start, he's put in two good efforts since, finishing a close third in this grade over 6f here last time out. He has very little to find to land this. Avalanche Attack was well held in third here last time but drops in class tonight and looks the one for the exacta while Made In Peru and Blackwater Cat can fight out the minor honours.
DICED N SLICED hasn't put a foot wrong in both starts so far this year and she will be fancied to complete the hat-trick tonight. Offlee Blessed has yet to finish out of the frame in three visits here (winning two) and should be in the thick of the action once again, while Rock Hall Honey ran a cracker in better company at Saratoga last time and can't be overlooked.
ABU RACER stepped up on a narrow course defeat when hacking up over a similar trip here last time and he will prove difficult to beat if in the same mood tonight. Storm Wind was equally impressive when striking over track and trip latest and should put up a good fight, while Barely Nothing has solid place credentials.
LAKE FOREST stepped up on a moderate debut performance when third over track and trip latest and, with further improvement expected, he can make it third time lucky. Laidbackjack has shown enough in previous starts to suggest that he can go close, while Dazzling Reality and Beaureal are interesting newcomers.
AWESOME ENCORE hacked up over a route here last time and posted a career best speed figure in the process. A reproduction of that effort would probably be enough to land a double here. Magic Mon has performed credibly over this sort of trip the last twice and looks the one for the forecast. Casa d'Oro was outpaced over five and a half furlongs last time and also merits consideration now stepped up in trip.
RULER ON ICE wasn't disgraced when stepped up in trip in stronger company at Aqueduct last time and looks the one to be on with further improvement likely to be forthcoming. Sir Cadian looked at home over C&D last time and is capable of making his presence felt. Big Grandpa was a facile winner on his debut at Laurel Park and must also enter calculations.
ANDRUS ATHENA appreciate the step back in trip when second here last month and will have no problems reverting back to sprinting as she has the speed in her locker to be effective at this trip. Jackie G is holding her form well and usually runs her race at this level. Majestic Michelle is another to consider.
