Toy Exchange has every chance on the form of her second at Delaware on her penultimate outing but her latest start tempers enthusiasm and the preference is for VATA, who improved on her debut to claim fourth in this grade last time out and there should be more to come. Wildcat Sol drops in class and is far from out of the equation.
PIT LIZARD has improved with each outing so far and, after only failing to break her duck by a neck last time out, she wouldn't have to find much to get it right this evening. Sip And Go caught the eye when making the frame on her racecourse bow and is a serious threat with that experience under her belt, while Ocean Echo also has place claims.
Star Halo and G T Forty arrive here in good form and should be thereabouts when it matters, but WILD QUAKE looks like the one to beat following his success in a similar event at Belmont last time out and there could be more to come.
HIGHLANDS RAPIDS was doing her best work at the finish when filling the runner-up berth (Crown The Princess 4th) over 7f here last month so a return to this trip looks sure to suit. She can go one better tonight at the main expense of Priceless Gift, who was far from disgraced in a higher grade latest. Grand Prize looks the best of the remainder.
McMazel and Trooping The Color were both denied by narrow margins in similar events last time out and have to be high on the short-list as a result, while He's A Mystery returns to the grade in which he scored last month. However, the vote goes to SKIPPY'S FLITE who ran out a comfortable winner in a similar event here last time out.
Roman Emperor only found one too good first time out and warrants respect with that experience behind him, but he was soundly beaten and the safest bet may be CONSIDER ME. Second on his last two starts, Randy Nunley's charge doesn't appear to have as much on his plate this evening. Elsewhere, Stackemup and Travinator are not without claims.
TRI SOME PIE deserves a change of luck after filling the runner-up spot on his last three starts, including when finishing in front of Jo Cosmo on his penultimate outing, and is taken to just get the better of Tiz Is. The latter is in fine form but tends to do his best work on turf.
There may be no need to look beyond CASEYS IRISH PRIDE in this heat. Tim Ritchey's inmate sluiced in over this C&D a fortnight ago and a repeat performance should be enough to see off the expected challenge from Star Snuck and Sea Of Galilee, who were also successful last time out.
ROYAL BRANDY landed a C&D contest on her latest start with enough to spare to suggest she can stage a follow up this evening. However, this is a competitive event and the downgraded Sky Island and Miss Blue Tye Dye will make sure she needs to be at her best, while the hat-trick seeking Circuit Breaker would be a threat if fully tuned up after break.
Plain Charming got off the mark in good style last time but has more to do tonight, while Kimmel and Call Option are expected to play leading roles in this company. KING CONCERTO recorded the highest last speed figure when scooping the silver medal here and may be the one to follow in the finale.
