THE COCKNEY MACKEM was withdrawn before the off when rated an even-money favourite for a handicap here on Wednesday and Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge is therefore respected with his sights now lowered. The son of Milan should break his maiden if running up to his official rating of 127, but keep a close eye on Newcastle fifth Clondaw Knight, who's clearly held in some regard at home, and Donald McCain's hurdling debutant Bardeli.

Frankie's Promise concedes weight all round for scoring at Ayr (Greensalt second) in February and Nick Alexander's charge can build on that win.
