BEAR'S PROSPECTOR returned to the winner's enclosure over 6f when last sighted and showed enough speed to think the drop back to this shorter trip wouldn't hinder. Dirt Track Demon and True to Tradition look best of the rest.
Judge Well is a potential improver now eased in grade but of more interest is PEAT BAY who went down by just a neck over a route here latest and wouldn't need to find much improvement to go one better. Monsignor and Urban Jungle complete the shortlist.
IL DIVO has been knocking hard on the door in recent months and gets the vote on the back of a solid course second. Calvin's Dream looks the best option for the forecast, although a big run from Devil's Weekend would come as no surprise.
WIRE FUNDS went down by just a nose here last month when cruelly denied a four-timer. However, he's evidently in rude health at present and compensation could be in the offing if slight improvement is forthcoming. Drunken Love and Devereux look best of the rest.
Star Recruit could improve for this drop in grade but preference is for the hat-trick-seeking TRAC MAKER, who looked one to keep onside when scoring over C&D latest. Talk Of The Night also merits inclusion on the shortlist.
Deanoguska is capable of making his presence felt at this level and has place claims along with Back Alley Tales. Preferred ahead of both, however, is LYCIAN, who went close over 1m on his penultimate start and is unexposed over this shorter trip.
Lisa Stannard looked to be running back into form when third here last time and has place claims along with Forest Path. Preference, however, is for SHAYE APPEAL, who went down by just a head over C&D when last sighted and wouldn't need to improve much upon that effort to score.
