World Of Darcy would hold every chance if performing at his best, but John Ryan's colt hasn't hit the same heights since a third-placed effort in a Listed event at Deauville in early August. With that in mind, last-time-out maiden winner GLOBAL SKIES rates as a more solid proposition. The gelded son of Mondialiste won a shade cosily at Haydock recently and may be able to defy a 7lb penalty. Western completes the shortlist.

A tricky novice contest, in which WESTERN is given another chance to confirm the positive impression made at Ascot back in these calmer waters. However, MIDAIR sets a fair standard on last month's runner-up effort at Goodwood and he could put that experience to good use by going one place better.
