John Gosden has an excellent record in such contests and can deliver with MICHELANGELO who looked a really good prospect when running down Expense Claim to land a Listed event at Goodwood last month. This stiff finish here should suit him down to the ground and he is a colt open to considerable improvement. Cameron Highland handles ease in the ground and was by no means disgraced in a Derby trial at Epsom when last seen back in April while Forest Row is better than his Royal Ascot no show last week.
With Samitar and Rougemont botH notable absentees this looks a good opening for the unexposed Michelangelo, who is well worth a crack at this level having landed the odds in listed company on just his second start. Miblish and Cameron Highland look the chief threats.

The juvenile events are starting to become really interesting and there are some useful sorts on show here. In the hope that conditions do not deteriorate, SANDREAMER is taken to follow up a most pleasing debut success at HQ, slowly away before picking up powerfully to run out a comfortable winner. The daughter of Oasis Dream looks a filly with a future and is preferred to City Image. Another member of the Hannon juvenile army, the latter made a pleasing debut at Windsor and will not be inconvenienced by any softening in the ground. Tipping Over and Fantacise are also respected.
Sandreamer's debut win has been franked since and, having missed Royal Ascot, she can capitalise on this easier opening. City Image and Tipping Over could be the pair to chase Mick Channon's filly home.

Khawlah and Barbican have strong claims at their best but both need a good performance to get back on track. In the circumstances, DANDINO looks a safer option, although his latest head second to Sea Moon at Goodwood last month shouldn't be taken literally in what was a messily-run affair. He looks a more effective performer back at a mile and a half and gets the vote. Berling was well beaten in that Goodwood race but should come on plenty for the outing whilst Proud Chieftain has been going well in good handicaps recently and could earn some black type.
Most of these are either out of sorts or unproven at the trip and Dandino looks to have been presented with a straightforward opportunity. Conditons will hold no terrors and he had 5 lengths to spare over Berling at Goodwood last time. That rival, along with Khawlah, can fight out minor honours.

Hoof It is a fascinating contender stepped up to a seventh furlong for the first time since the autumn of 2010 but he remains unproven over the trip and is best watched. In contrast, this appears the optimum trip for FIREBEAM, whose last two wins have arrived over this distance. He was far from disgraced when only four and a half lengths behind Moonlight Cloud at Longchamp last time and can return to winning form. Last year's winner Libranno looks the most obvious threat on the back of a Listed success at Salisbury, with the consistent Majestic Myles completing the shortlist.
A hard race to assess as clear form choice Hoof It has to prove he wants this far, especially if the ground doesn't dry out. Edinburgh Knight wasn't seen to best effect in the Hunt Cup last time but he should prove suited by the return to this trip and is taken to get the better of Libranno and Majestic Myles.

Whilst it may have once been significant to see Frankie Dettori take the ride on a Godolphin newcomer in preference to one with experience, that's no longer the case with jockey bookings for the 'Boys in Blue' impossible to read. Indeed, Quintilian showed enough first time when fourth at Doncaster to suggest he's one to follow but we'll take a chance with John Gosden's $150,000 colt, HOARDING. The son of Elusive Quality represents a yard in stunning form and market support would strengthen confidence. Sir Henry Cecil's Disclaimer and the Botti and Hills newcomers, Glory City and Estifzaaz, are also interesting.
With so many well-bred newcomers from top yards taking each other on the market will obviously be informative. Estifzaaz and Disclaimer are 2 debutants who make obvious appeal, the former just preferred for a yard which had a promising first-time-out winner at Newbury earlier in the week. Quintilian may prove best of those with experience.

Ihsas remains equally unexposed for Godolphin and could be anything, although she may need this first run since last September. Moone's My Name and Diverting are also considered.
Moone's My Name is still open to a bit of improvement and she has had excuses on both runs since her Windsor reappearance success. The well-bred Ihsas has to be feared on her reappearance/handicap debut, while Love Your Looks and Diverting are others to take very seriously.
