NURPUR was well touted and heavily backed prior to her Leopardstown debut and although failing to land the money on that occasion, the daughter of Dark Angel shaped with an abundance of promise to finish second to the well-regarded Harasiya and looks a smart filly in the making herself. The selection travelled with real purpose through the middle stages of that Leopardstown event and seems sure to step forward for the initial experience. Strapless has two solid efforts to her name so far but her recent Sligo third isn't particularly strong form, while Lightnin Hopkins will need to step forward from her Fairyhouse debut second.
There is little to choose between Lightnin Hopkins and Nurpur on their debut efforts earlier this month, but slight preference is for the latter, in receipt of a 5 lb sex allowance. Strapless looks best of the rest.

ALKAZIM is clearly the one to beat returned to maiden company having been beaten under five lengths in the Irish 2,000 Guineas last month. David Wachman's 102-rated colt ran some fine races in good company as a juvenile and really ought to be able to open his account this time around. There should be a small race to be won with Regal Power, who showed improved form to finish fourth at the Curragh, while Via Ballycroy warrants respect on the back of two solid all-weather efforts last year.
This looks a good opportunity for Alkazim to finally get off the mark and he should prove difficult to beat. Regal Power is open to further progress and is taken to follow the selection home, with An Cat Dubh and Via Ballycroy likely to prove best of the rest.

PRE TAX PROFIT failed to sparkle last year but returned to action with a much-improved effort, finishing a fine third over this trip at Dundalk last month, and he looks the one to beat allowed to compete off the same mark this evening. Wellmarked is another who showed more sparkle last time and the recent Limerick third enters calculations, along with Listowel fourth Enough Is Enough.
A moderate handicap and it may pay to side with Notgonnagiveup who, although still a maiden, has shown a fair level of form in the past and is now dangerously well-handicapped. Wellmarked and Ultrasteps are taken to prove best of the rest.

The switch to handicaps did the trick for JULY REVOLUTION, who fairly bolted up over this trip on her handicap bow at Fairyhouse. A subsequent 10lb rise in the ratings makes life tougher for the 3-y-o but he remains at the right end of the handicap and can win more races in the coming months. Bendzoldan is another coming into this at the top of her game following two recent wins and a bold bid is expected from her, with Sligo runner-up Zelos Dream also considered.
July Revolution improved markedly for the switch to handicaps when winning at Fairyhouse earlier this month and, given he is open to further improvement, looks capable of following up. San Jose City and Bendzoldan are likely to prove the biggest dangers.

A few of these were no match for last week's impressive Ribblesdale winner Princess Highway here last month but AARAAS was the one who got closest to Dermot Weld's star filly and she rates the one to beat this time around. The selection boasts a profile of steady progression and looks up to winning at this level. Aloof has a bit to prove having trailed home a long way behind the selection last time but she had looked promising previously with similar comments applicable to Shebella, who should be a little more streetwise now. Demurely is improving and could well prove the pick of the Ballydoyle assault, but the blinkered Remember Alexander has plenty on conceding weight all round. Caponata impressed when making a winning debut at Gowran last month but this represents a steep rise in class so early in her career.
A cracking contest and it may pay to side with Betterbetterbetter who finished in front of a few of these when second last time and looks sure to make a bold bid. Aaraas's last run could not have worked out any better and she looks the most likely to benefit should the selection fail to meet expectations. Like many of Jim Bolger's horses, AQUILONIUS looks to be improving with racing and the 3-y-o came good again when producing a spirited display to see off all challengers at the Curragh last month. Despite a 7lb rise in the ratings, he could be one to keep onside for the time being and makes more appeal than Maundy Money, who finds himself on a handy mark and ran well in a decent race at Cork last time. Cnocan Diva began the season in fine form but has been anchored at the weights since.

A few interesting runners here but BEAT THE BALLOT appeals most having last been seen finishing second on his handicap debut at Dundalk in December. A winner over that same course and distance previously, he looks the type to improve as he gets older and should be a more mature animal following his winter break. Recent Roscommon winner Our Conor appeals making his handicap debut but this is more competitive so the likes of Navan runner-up Sure Reef and the returning Shukhov are feared most.
A competitive affair in which preference is for Sure Reef who made the progressive Stocktons Wing fight all the way at Navan last time and looks on a favourable mark. Beat The Ballot and Ancellotti head the list of several possible dangers.
