Our Max won gamely on the beach at Laytown and has every chance if able to reproduce that level of performance on this surface, but JEALIKA looks a safer option. Mark Fahey's filly has posted two solid efforts already this month, particularly when winning readily at Listowel last Friday, and a 5lb penalty might not be enough to anchor her. Dragon Khan chased home the selection last time so he and first-time blinkered Hard Times are others to note.

CEOL AN GHRA stepped up on her pleasing debut performance when three-parts of a length second over 1m at the Curragh (fifth has won since) and, likely to benefit from dropping back in trip (only caught late last time), she could make it third-time lucky. The other experienced runners will need to find improvement so it could be worth focusing on newcomers Kalisma and Etched in terms of dangers. Both represent powerhouse stables.

CEOL AN GHRA built on debut form when runner-up at the Curragh last month, and with her experience likely to count for plenty here, she gets the nod to go one place better. An interesting maiden with slight preference for BLUE DE VEGA, who was strongly fancied on debut but he ran into a couple of decent types, including a well-bred Ballydoyle runner. With that experience under his belt, he should be thereabouts. Aidan O'Brien introduces three well-bred newcomers here with Schubert appealing most on paper, as he is a half-brother to a stakes performer in the US and cost 1,300,000 dollars as a yearling. Others who shouldn't be discounted are Afzal and particularly Tribal Beat, has run in two top maidens so far.

Watch out for: Tribal Beat (15)

A very interesting maiden with TRIBAL BEAT shading the vote. Jim Bolger's charge was clearly expected to do better when disappointing at the Curragh in May, but he still has potential intact, and could well get back on the up here. Blue De Vega and Afzal have both showed a solid level of form also and are feared, whilst Schubert rates the pick of three well-bred Aidan O'Brien newcomers.

Three Bells arrives here following back-to-back wins at Leopardstown and Navan and is obviously in top form, but he now finds himself on a career high mark. Joe Eile has been going very well since winning at Navan in May and only finds himself 1lb higher that that win today, while Splashtop has dropped to a mark off which she should be competitive. The Dermot Weld-trained KATIMAVIK had been progressing nicely until he found the Irish Cambridgeshire too much for him last time. A repeat of his performances at the Curragh in August would see him go very well.

The extra distance looks certain to suit the son of Manduro and he appears one of the few in this race with a workable mark. Landofhopeandglory looks on a high enough mark for what he achieved on debut, while Glamorous Approach steps down from Listed company and is of interest.
