Willie Mullins' string seem to be in much better order than when Group 1 winner Epicuris flopped on his hurdling debut at Limerick and we are likely to see a different animal today, while Cartwright only found one too good on his first spin over timber at Gowran and he should give another good account. However, at the forecast prices, STEER CLEAR looks very tempting. The Flemensfirth gelding improved massively from his first to second start when sixth in a hot maiden at Punchestown (second and third have both won since) and he can go close with further progression.

Back Bar looked to lack a gear when beaten at Tramore last month and might need further than this, while Ard Na Carraig has proved a model of consistent lately and was behind a well-treated winner last time who has since followed up. Jim Dreaper won this two years ago and he relies on SIZING TITANIUM this time. The veteran won well over fences back in December but couldn't follow up here five weeks ago, struggling off his new mark. He is back over hurdles off 109 now and could prove tough to stop.

The booking of Patrick Mullins for EAGLE ROQUE looks highly relevant towards his prospects here and the four-year-old is fancied to land the spoils for Paul Nolan. A 33,000 euros purchase and related to winners in France on the Flat and over hurdles, he has plenty going for him in what might only be a modest bumper.
