Verdict

Despite struggling in the past couple of months, LEXCOAL should find this heat much more to his liking if appreciating the drop to a sprint trip. Speed figures suggest Fortune Minded can go close, but Rustic Ridge could be the main danger if his in-form barn have him fully wound-up for this return to sprinting.

Verdict

A fairly open contest and ITALIAN DOCTOR C earns a tentative vote. Having disappointed as favourite when last seen over a similar trip at Fort Erie last month, he can make amends if utilising his good early pace. Bycarbs Destiny has plenty of experience but boasts a poor strike-rate, while Shore Blue cannot be ruled out if building on recent promising displays.

Verdict
