DE LONG STAR (6) had little luck last start when finishing ninth of 11 over 1200m at Moonee Valley after she began badly and was then held-up badly on the turn. Two runs back she finished a nose second over 1100m at Bendigo and on that run along with an easier line-up today than what she met last time out has to be rated as one of the leading chances. BREADCRUMBS (5) is from the Danny O'Brien stable and like the majority of the field is making her debut today. With no trial form to gauge her chances it would pay to watch early markets on this filly. DEECE SCENT KISS (7) makes her debut for the Peter Moody stable and should attract plenty of support following a trial win at Cranbourne over 800m last April. Looks ideally placed to score first-up. BRINELL (1) only beat one runner home when making his debut last stat at Geelong over 1100m but overraced early and was then checked with 200m to run. Was well backed in that last start run and it would pay to give him another chance today.

GOLDEN RIDGE (8) has finished third in her only four starts including her last run when trying to lead all of the way at Hamilton over 1200m. Will be racing up on the pace today and if allowed to set her own rules in front will go close to breaking her maiden status.
