NOTRE PARI made a bad mistake at a crucial point when fourth on his return to action at Fakenham but Olly Murphy's gelding warrants plenty of respect back on a more conventional track. Perfect City was in contention when falling on his hurdling debut at Southwell in June and, on that showing, is entitled to be competitive, while Timetochill could take a step forward from her third at Huntingdon where she raced too keenly.

Top Tip: Notre Pari (8)
Watch out for: Perfect City (9)

NOTRE PARI lost all chance with a bad blunder at Fakenham last time, so it's best to judge him on a highly encouraging hurdling debut in April, which marked him down as well capable of winning a race of this nature. Hurdling newcomer Malystic is his main threat ahead of Timetochill.

ATLANTA ABLAZE won twice in Listed company last season and was running an excellent race in the National Hunt Chase when falling at the second-last fence. Her subsequent performance at Perth can be forgiven and the daughter of Kayf Tara could bounce back on her return to action. The Bay Birch won on her first start of the season at Chepstow and she appears the most solid threat, while Annie Angel was twice a wide-margin winner at Uttoxeter in July and, on those efforts, is worth her chance up in class.

BIG DIFFERENCE has been found a good opening on his seasonal/chase debut and can pick up from where he left off here in March. Ben Pauling's charge won a handicap hurdle over a furlong shorter here in the spring off 106 and it could be that the switch to fences brings about a fair amount of improvement in the son of Presenting. Sojourn is unexposed over obstacles and brings winning bumper form to the table, so he heads the list of dangers from Ballyhome.

BIG DIFFERENCE displayed plenty of stamina when getting off the mark over hurdles here in March and, with a pointing background to call upon, it would come as no surprise to see him achieve even more in this sphere. Sojourn is similarly low-mileage and worth a second look, whilst Ballyhome will find this more suitable than his Perth assignment in September.

OUR UNCLE PAT has taken his form to a new level since undergoing wind surgery and joining Olly Murphy. The eight-year-old remains winless, but this isn't a particularly strong handicap chase and the assumption is that a repeat of either of his efforts here or at Warwick in late summer will suffice. Tanrudy is interesting tried in a first-time visor, likewise Ask Paddy after a wind operation.
