REJAAH has improved plenty this year and won a valuable four-year-old fillies' handicap hurdle at the expense of Pemba at Warwick last time. She looks the one to beat despite giving weight away all round. Instant Karma drops back into novice company after being pulled up when last seen over hurdles, while Nomadic Storm defied a 13-month absence to win his first novice hurdle at Stratford last month and also warrants respect.
The progressive REJAAH can make light of a triple penalty and complete a 4-timer. Instant Karma can't have been right at Warwick and may provide a serious threat if back to his Fakenham form, though All The Best could also figure if translating his Flat ability to hurdling at the first time of asking.

THE TAILGATER improved for encountering a sounder surface and the step up in distance when winning nicely at Huntingdon last month and the son of Oscar can defy the 7lb penalty here with doubts about his main rivals. Mere Anarchy disappointed last time at Bangor on his handicap debut and needs to answer the question of whether good ground actually suits, while Kid Valentine also ran poorly on his handicap debut and needs to prove that an extended 2m4f suits. The main danger could be Asknotwhat who may improve for the step up in distance.
THE TAILGATER was well on top at the finish when striking at the second time of asking over hurdles at Huntingdon last month and looks well capable of following up with further progress on the cards. Kid Valentine is better than he showed in a Hexham handicap last time and can fill the forecast spot.

On ratings, Manhattan Swing was the best of these over hurdles and has decent form here including when a fine third in the Summer Hurdle behind Gran Maestro. The worry here is the fact he has never raced beyond an extended 2m so his stamina is a question mark. Preference goes to NET WORK ROUGE, who performed with credit on his chase debut here last month over 3m and shouldn't be inconvenienced by the drop down in distance. Cusheen Bridge reached a fair level of form over hurdles and looks capable of transforming that over the larger obstacles.
NET WORK ROUGE would have won at this course last time had he maintained his focus, idling markedly up the run-in to be overhauled in the closing stages, and this near-useful hurdler is well worth another chance. Manhattan Swing was the best of these over hurdles and will go close if taking to fences.

HINDON ROAD dropped down sufficiently in the handicap for him to be able to record his first success over fences last month at Bangor and the son of Antonius Pius looks more than capable of doubling up here in what appears to be a weaker contest. Royal Macnab is only 1lb higher than his last winning mark and is capable of going well if bouncing back to his best, while Gold Ingot was dropped 2lb for a disappointing recent effort at Warwick behind Long Lunch and merits consideration due to his usual consistency.
HINDON ROAD opened his account over fences at Bangor last month and still has scope for further improvement in this sphere given his hurdles form, so gets the vote for his in-form stable. It was a weak event in which Sirius Star made a winning handicap/chase debut here 4 weeks ago but he's still feared most.

This is a slight step up in grade for recent Bangor winner Vedani but he should remain competitive despite shouldering a 7lb penalty. The first-time blinkers and return to better ground can see a return to form for CARRY ON SYDNEY, who has also dropped to a workable mark. The cheekpieces have been the making of Moss On The Mill in recent starts, while Grey Monk was a convincing C&D winner nine days ago and is another to carry a 7lb penalty.
CHIDSWELL was disappointing on handicap debut at Sandown in March, but that was quite a deep race, and back from a break, remains with plenty of potential. He faces a couple of last-time-out winners in Grey Monk and Vedani as well as in-form Moss On The Mill, but he could well be up to the job.

A very tricky contest to close the card but marginal preference is for SHADY GLEN, who has fallen when in contention in his last two starts. He clearly has jumping frailties but most of his rivals are badly out of form and a clear round should see him gain some compensation for his supporters. Robben would have a chance if he can transfer some decent form on the Flat to this discipline, while Noble Galileo is also worth considering.
If SHADY GLEN returns from 8 months off in the same form he was showing over fences when last seen he should make light work of a mark of 83 in a weak race. Few of the others arrive in any sort of form, but there's a case to be made for both Noble Galileo and Valnamixe du Mee given they've dropped a long way in the weights.
