The most recent of those wins came in a similar event to this at Ludlow last month and his rider's 7lb claim should help him today. RAINY CITY was the best of these over hurdles and he has filled second place in both of his starts over fences to date, the most recent of which came at Perth last month where he did not appear to stay the 3m trip and this distance should be more to his liking. The obvious danger is Ballinure, who was last seen finishing second in a novice handicap hurdle at Ascot back in December. Double U Dot Ede's has a mountain to climb and needs the others to fail to complete to be successful.
RAINY CITY looked far from straightforward at Perth last month, but blinkers may help in that regard and he really ought to see off chase-debutants Ballinure and Double U Dot Ede's.

LITHIC was staying on well when falling at the last in a decent handicap hurdle at Aintree last month and has been presented with a very easy task against rivals rated over a stone and upwards lower than him. The main danger looks to be the mare Rebel Yeats, who won with her head in her chest at 50/1 at Warwick at the beginning of last month, while Blue Comet looks best of the remainder.
LITHIC sets the standard on his performances in handicaps, even conceding a penalty, so is the one to be with back in a novice. Rebel Yeats and Third Estate are promising in their own right, though.

ARBORETUM benefited from the drop down in distance back over hurdles when winning last week at Southwell and can potentially go on from that performance under a penalty with Brian Hughes reunited in the saddle. Sirius Star ran well here back in April over fences and could improve for the return to timber, while Rock N'Stones performed with credit on his first run for Mark Walford and the step up in trip looks a positive.
ABORETUM brings recent winning form to the table, which is more than can be said for most here and he gets the nod to follow up under a penalty having shed the maiden tag at Southwell last week. Rock N'stones isn't one to write off at this low level, and along with Moscow Calling, heads up the dangers.
