This looks a nice opening for SHORE SHANTY, who took a big step forward from her bumper fourth at this venue 11 months ago to finish second in the same discipline at Uttoxeter on reappearance just a few weeks ago for Harry Whittington. The five-year-old looks ready go to hurdling now and this looks to be a decent opportunity. Crackin' Rose couldn't justify favouritism at Warwick in September but might do better now over obstacles, while Keepscalling is worth a betting check on stable debut for Alex Dunn.

LYGON ROCK rattled the crossbar at Warwick last month and Henry Daly's course-and-distance winner has a great chance of going one better than that second off a 3lb higher mark. The seven-year-old has chased home top operators such as Paisley Park and Worthy Farm off higher figures in the past and Alice Stevens removes a handy 7lb here. Bhutan won this last year, but is 5lb higher now and his reappearance in the same Warwick contest as the selection did little to inspire too much confidence. Hughie Morrison's handicap debutant Moon of Baroda may be the best alternative, therefore, having finished second in both appearances over hurdles so far this season, chasing home the useful Celestial Force at Wincanton last time. Tight Call, a winner at Southwell on his penultimate start, and Nigel Twiston-Davies' Don't Shout are others to note.
