Fable Of Arachne showed a good attitude when winning at Kempton earlier in the month, although she only won by a very narrow margin and a 5lb rise in the ratings looks harsh. GABSTER has improved with each run and it would not be a surprise to see her find more on her handicap debut. She chased home a decent rival last time and, while that form has some mixed messages coming from it, an opening mark of 64 looks to be workable. Holiday Henry and Weld Al Khawaneej are both tried in first-time headgear, which could spark a return to the pick of their form.

Of the newcomers in this field High Grounds looks the most noticeable, as a 115,000 euros full-sister to Racing Post Trophy fourth Jacobean. The first-time blinkers are an interesting aid for CACHAO, though, after he was caught late on over C&D recently. He was still well clear of the third that day and can gain compensation. Ragner made an encouraging debut, despite being beaten five lengths, over 1m here a few weeks ago. The step up in trip should suit and he should have benefited from that experience.

The progressive LORD HUNTINGDON appears to have been allocated a fairly lenient opening mark based on his second over 1m here earlier in the month. He is bred to appreciate this extra distance and makes plenty of appeal. Recent C&D winner Kalkrand merits a place on the shortlist as a 4lb rise in the ratings looks fair, while Sark could also go well.

Bayan Kasirga picked up a couple of races over this trip at Wolverhampton at the end of last year and she could not be ruled out of this. The hat-trick seeking Whinging Willie will be tough to beat once again, particularly with his rider's claim largely negating his 6lb penalty. However, BALLYGLASHEEN was a close second in a class 4 0-85 last time and this drop in grade could well see this useful hurdler break his duck on the Flat. Others worthy of consideration include Classic Mission and Ruzeiz.
