Polar Kite was beaten by under a length over track and trip when last sighted and should remain competitive off a 1lb higher mark, while Tellovoi has been knocking hard on the door lately and is also unlikely to be far away. Preferred ahead of both, however, is SCARLET BOUNTY, who bolted up in a classified stakes contest at Southwell last time out and is expected to remain competitive now switched back to handicaps, albeit now rated 7lb higher.

Watch out for: Polar Kite (6)

BLACKTHORN STICK shaped well on his first start for Paul Burgoyne at Kempton earlier this month until the lack of a recent run seemed to tell, and he remains one to be interested in. Tellovoi has been running consistently of late and can be placed again, while Polar Kite is another who makes each-way appeal.

The form standard is set by BERNIE'S BOY, who was well held in conditions company here last month but is rated 83 on official figures and makes plenty of appeal on his previous maiden second at HQ. King Oswald is entitled to build on a solid debut sixth at Kempton over this trip and is feared most, while Many Dreams, even though she's fairly exposed, is no forlorn hope for a place and also enters calculations.

Jamie Osborne's charge is expected to improve for the step up to this longer trip and could feasibly land her third victory from her last four outings. Outback Blue opened his account over this trip in a Wolverhampton maiden last time and has place claims, along with fellow handicap debutant Phantom Flipper.

Jeremy Noseda's charge is a distance winner and is expected to strip fitter for that outing. Crazy Chic's improvement appears to have levelled off lately so preference is for DUTIFUL SON, who faced a tough task off unfavourable terms in a conditions race last time but is expected to fare better now returned to handicap company. Mulzamm has edged up 2lb in the ratings after finishing runner-up over C&D last month but is unlikely to be far away at the finish, while Melvin The Grate has slipped to a fair mark and must also enter calculations.

Several to consider in this competitive handicap, with the vote going to CRAZY CHIC. Marco Botti's charge did well to finish as close as he did over 7f here last time and promises to be suited by the extra yardage this time. Dutiful Son could pose a big threat with Jack Duern claiming a handy 3 lb, while Spiritual Star, Mulzamm and Big Whiskey are all worthy of consideration.

Perfect Fit went close over this trip at Dundalk latest and is worth a market check as she appears to strengthen the Irish claim further. A first-time tongue-tie could spark improvement from Mr Quicksilver, while Miro has claims on the pick of his efforts.
