RAJSALAD has every chance of going one better from his runner-up finish in a maiden hurdle at Cork. He kept the 2/5 favourite honest on very testing ground there before giving best on the run-in. That winner now holds an entry in a Grade One at Naas in January to underline the form. In addition, Rajsalad was a very healthy 13 lengths clear of the third home. Kalkas looks a potential improver from a debut fifth over half a mile further in Navan. Monkstreet makes his racecourse debut for Gordon Elliott after a nearest-at-the-finish second in a point-to-point for Cormac Doyle. That was on good ground, though, so he may be best watched. Rocky's Howya has shown enough in two runs to suggest he can compete for a cheque. King And Queen was picked up cheaply at the sales after winning two Flat races in Britain, including one on soft ground at Hamilton. He could have a future in this sphere. Third reserve Light Brigade would be a major player if getting a run.

Emma Twomey won the Ladies' National on KAVANAGHS CORNER at Fairyhouse last month and the pair are tipped to go in again. That race was over a similar trip to this and attritional ground holds no fears for this 11-year-old gelding. Out Sam didn't run badly when fifth in the Cork National and fourth in a cross country handicap chase at Cheltenham, so has to be respected in this company. He would probably appreciate a longer trip but ought to be staying on at the business end. Jurby could make no impression in a three mile handicap hurdle at Punchestown earlier in the month but had been off since January. He should strip fitter and his last crack at fences saw him win at Down Royal. He has prospects. Wishmoor looks best of the rest.

STAKER WALLACE stands out here as a proven high-class hunter who can gain his first racecourse win. A lightly-raced 9yo, he returned from a 1,078-day absence this year and has proven himself very capable, filling fourth place in the Cheltenham Foxhunters in March. His most recent runs in open point-to-points were also solid efforts and he should prove good enough to win this. Super Citizen represents connections of the Foxhunters Chase winner and he, too, has shown useful form. He is a four-time point-to-point winner and while he has yet to win in three hunter chase outings, has nonetheless ran well when third in last year's renewal of this race and should give the selection a race. Fanamix won his latest two point-to-points but steps up markedly in grade, while Michael's Pick steps up from maiden company.

FORRARD AWAY handles testing ground well and scored over this trip at Wexford on St Patrick's Day. The Califet gelding was given a summer break and should be spot on for this following a couple of outings. He was only headed on the run-in when a close-up third to the progressive Mattie's Mountain at Fairyhouse earlier this month and remains on a competitive mark. Any market move for Temptationinmilan would be very interesting. The Charles Byrnes-trained gelding is a half-brother to five winners and, while bred to appreciate at least another half a mile, has shown glimpses of ability in maidens. Moonlight Glory is an obvious danger having completed a double on the day for her trainer when successful over course and distance last month.

Emmet Mullins has enjoyed a good year winning high profile races such as the Irish Cesarewitch and the Greatwood Hurdle at Cheltenham's November meeting, and NOBLE YEATS could be the answer here. The selection finished strongly when just denied in a point-to-point at Ballindenisk 12 months ago and was subsequently snapped up by current connections for 75,000 pounds. Fourneux D'isanka, runner-up to the odds-on El Barra at Thurles last month, and Blazing Khal have both shown promise in bumpers on a number of occasions and look sure to go well. The latter comes here off the back of a decent effort behind The Banger Doyle at Punchestown. John Joe Walsh won the mares' bumper here on Saturday and is now represented by Kildorrery winner Rochestown, while Grady Hollow also won between the flags at Castletown-Geoghegan.
