It's difficult to look past HIDDEN UNIVERSE on his hurdling debut. The Linamix gelding racked up three bumper victories last season (including a Grade 1 at the Punchestown Festival) and Dermot Weld is sure to have him well schooled. Joe Smooth displayed a fair level of ability in his two bumpers, especially first time out, and should go close if taking to timber, while House Rules has hurdling experience and is certainly no forlorn hope.
Hidden Universe was smart in bumpers and should be able to take this maiden en route to better things over hurdles. House Rules should be able to better the form of his hurdling bow and Loch Long is difficult to keep out of the 3.

TONER D'OUDAIRIES won a Grade 3 event at Fairyhouse in good style earlier this month and even a reproduction of that effort might ensure he takes all the beating this afternoon. Kalann finished runner-up to him on that occasion and, as that was his hurdling debut, he is entitled to improve so he rates an obvious danger. Accidental Outlaw is on an upward curve and he will be expected to give a good account, along with cosy Clonmel winner Kristal Komet.

FOOL'S WILDCAT confirmed his recent well-being with arguably a career best performance over 2m here on Tuesday and, with this extra two furlongs of no concern, he can defy a 6lb penalty. Concrete And Clay has collected the bronze medal in both starts over hurdles so far this season and should be in the thick of the action once again, while Michelle's Express must have a great chance if forgiven his lacklustre display in Scotland last time.
Fool's Wildcat has gone from strength to strength since joining the Gordon Elliott and looks to have been found a good opportunity to follow up his win here earlier in the week. Concrete And Clay remains potentially well treated and Ferry Point looks the most solid of the remainder.

MIKAEL D'HAGUENET should prove a cut above these rivals. Although a last fence fall prevented the fairytale story on his comeback run at Fairyhouse, he pretty well on the whole and this drop in trip won't cause any problems. Loosen My Load's third at Cheltenham last time has taken a boost with the winner, Ghizao, hacking up again since and he could be the biggest threat to Willie Mullins' star gelding. Noble Prince and Torpichen are others who could benefit if the favourite doesn't run up to his top hurdles form.
Mikael d'Haguenet looks set to make amends for his unfortunate defeat in the Drinmore in this Grade 1, most likely at the expense of Noble Prince and Torpichen, both of whom are exciting chasers in their own right.

SHOT FROM THE HIP had to settle for second best when strongly fancied on his hurdles debut at Naas last month but there could be some improvement to come from him and he has major claims this afternoon. Zagman is also open to improvement and he can give a good account if stepping up on his Limerick second last month. Dantes King won a point-to-point earlier this year and he is one to monitor closely on his debut under Rules.
Shot From The Hip is taken to put his hurdling experience to good use and can get the better of Endless Intrigue who was of a similar standard in bumpers. Zagman has done enough to suggest he's capable of running into the places.

MICKELSON was a shade disappointing when strongly fancied for a Punchestown bumper last time but he had previously shaped nicely on his debut there and he might be worth another chance to confirm that promise. Baby Whizz was far from disgraced at Punchestown last month and there could be more to come from him so he is respected. Sizing Symphony and Bold Optimist both merit consideration on debut, particularly if the market signals are strong.
Jet Master hasn't been seen to best effect in bumpers so far and is given a chance to build on early promise in a trappy contest. Ahmister has to be respected representing the Eddie Hales yard, whilst Serein is difficult to keep out of the 3.
