This trip might be on the sharp side for ASKANN but she's an honest type of mare who should be coming home well. She's run perfectly well in three starts in handicap chases this season and her very capable rider knows her well. Moratorium was a useful hurdler and could be on a workable mark in this sphere having contested some very hot beginners' chases this term. La Tektor ran well at Galway and it may be worth forgiving his subsequent Punchestown run when a beaten favourite on his handicap chase debut. He is also down to appear at Limerick on Monday. Of the more experienced handicappers, Bitview Colin was just creeping into the race when falling at Thurles and he's put in some very good runs in a busy campaign to date, while Listowel winner Memory Tree was a good third at Naas and is still open to some more improvement.

LIFETIME AMBITION has been beaten less than a length both times when runner-up in his first two starts over hurdles and may go one better. The point-to-point winner stays well and can put his experience to good use. Fair bumper performer Stattler was beaten at odds-on on his hurdling bow at Naas but stuck to his task well and is likely to be all the better for that outing. Barbary Master, third in a decent maiden at Punchestown in October, is another to consider with the step up in trip expected to suit him. It hasn't happened yet over hurdles for smart bumper performer Risk Factor but he's another that might fare better now that he goes half a mile further.

So impressive in the mares' novice hurdle at Cheltenham in March, CONCERTISTA reappeared with a smooth success at Fairyhouse last month where she beat Minella Melody much more easily than the winning margin would suggest. She can confirm that form and looks very much the one to beat. Coral Cup runner-up Black Tears actually has 6lb in hand of the selection on these terms and maybe she needed the run when well beaten by Buildmeupbuttercup at Punchestown, but she'll need to step up a good bit on that comeback run and her two best runs have been in big-field handicaps. Buildmeupbuttercup and easy Limerick winner My Sister Sarah give Willie Mullins serious strength in reserve here should Concertista run below-par. Mary Frances won by a huge margin on extreme ground at Clonmel but this is a stiffer task for her on less suitable going.

A serious roll of honour in this race and MONKFISH looks worthy of adding his name to the list. Willie Mullins' charge was very impressive on his chase debut at Fairyhouse last month and the big son of Stowaway looks to have the scope to make an even better chaser than hurdler. He was a very game winner of the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham last year and is an exciting prospect in staying novice chases this season. Obviously he just edged out Latest Exhibition at Prestbury Park back in March and that rival lines up in opposition again here. Paul Nolan's charge won his first start over fences but got turned over in Punchestown last month. Heavy ground was put forward as a possible reason for that below-par effort and if he bounces back to form now he's the obvious danger.

Saint Roi looked a touch unlucky when losing out to ABACADABRAS in the Morgiana at Punchestown and has been a long-time favourite to win this rematch. It was a tactical affair then, which probably didn't suit anyone. Gordon Elliott's charge wasn't doing a whole lot when he hit the front then and is fancied to confirm the placings. With Petit Mouchoir in the field you'd assume there will be a better gallop this time and that will suit the selection, who is a strong traveller. Saint Roi is obviously a big danger having proven last time that he is a real force at the highest level. Stablemate Saldier is an interesting contender on his return from an absence. He hasn't been seen since winning the Morgiana last year but the fragile gelding is a real danger if turning up in top order. Aspire Tower has to come into the mix having beaten Abacadabras at Down Royal but the selection looked in need of that run and can turn the tables now.

There might be a bit more to come from VISIONARIAN now that he steps up in trip. The former point-to-pointer won easily on his 'track' debut at Gowran before running a solid race in novice company to chase home Railway Hurricane at Tipperary. Both those came over the minimum trip and going an extra half-mile now should suit. Gabbys Cross comes here on a hat-trick and has to be a big player. He just lasted out when winning at Punchestown three weeks ago but that looked a competitive heat and despite a 6lb rise he should still be in the mix. Henry de Bromhead also runs Premium Package, who is interesting if coming here instead of a race in which he was reserve on Monday.

HOLLOW GAMES was impressive on his 'track' debut at Punchestown and can maintain his unbeaten record here. The point-to-point recruit pulled away in good style to score by seven lengths last month and that form looks strong with the runner-up going on to win since. Pat Taaffe was seen to good effect here on Saturday and his 7lb claim leaves Mare Quimby on a nice low weight. She won on debut and although only seventh subsequently at Navan that was a strong Listed mares contest. Willie Mullins' charge Eurotiep is another that commands respect. He opened his account on his return at Punchestown three weeks ago after a couple of promising runner-up efforts last year.
