PUYOL is long overdue a first hurdles win and can get off the mark in this red-hot race. He has got the closest of any hurdler to Dunguib and was beaten just four lengths by the superstar last month. This trip will suit and he's the one to beat. Thomas Mullins thinks a lot of Dr Whizz and he was very impressive when winning his bumper at Cork latest. He has plenty of scope for hurdling and looks a threat. Dermot Weld's Harrington was useful on the Flat and is an interesting recruit to hurdles.
Jaffonnien and Puyol hold the best hurdles form in the race, but in terms of potential, there's a chance that Dr Whizz, who made a most impressive debut when winning a bumper at Cork, could prove a class apart if taking to jumping at the first attempt.

ORANGE TOUCH had plenty up his sleeve when winning at Cork last time and looks the one to beat again. He saves his best for this trip and the decent going should be no problem. Wikaala has been in cracking form on the level but is a winner over timber and has a touch of class. He should be right on the premises, while Rookery Rebel ran a solid third at Aintree last time and is another for the shortlist.
A wide-open handicap, plenty in with chances, but arguably the most progressive among them is Vinnes Friend who should have gone closer at Cheltenham last month, and lessons might have been learnt from that. Deise Dan and Hampshire Express are others to consider.

There's not a lot between NINETIETH MINUTE and Oscar Dan Dan but Tom Taaffe's hurdler can reverse their placings at Fairyhouse last time. They were separated by just a neck that day and the 4lb pull the selection gets today can make all the difference. Lie Forrit is another to consider as he bids to land a hat-trick. He won a competitive Newbury handicap last time and deserves this hike in grade.
