SIKARA shaped nicely behind the useful Bible Belt on her debut at Roscommon in September last year and, with considerable improvement likely this year, she can be expected to go well today. Wonder Of Wonders also shaped encouragingly on her only start to date and she is sure to attract plenty of support. Eva's Time should be capable of getting her head in front before long so she is respected along with Mesariya who rates an interesting newcomer.
All the major yards are represented here so this should prove an imformative race. However, such was the impression made by Wonder of Wonders on her debut last year it would be slightly disappointing if she couldn't go one better here. Eva's Time looks a sure-fire improver at this trip and can chase her home, with Sikara and Palinode (who wears first-time cheekpieces) others to consider.

DUNBOYNE EXPRESS followed up his debut success here with a scintillating display in the Group 3 Anglesey Stakes at the Curragh and he was subsequently far from disgraced in the Group 1 Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster. He can make a winning reappearance. Cocozza looked a very useful performer in the making last year and is respected on his return to action along with Exodus is the only one with winning form over this trip and that entitles him to plenty of respect.
Dunboyne Express brings the best form to the table after mixing it at Group level as a 2-y-o, but it could just be worth chancing Cocozza against the likely favourite, such was the impression he made in a couple of backend maidens. Exodus should have the beating of Whipless for third.

An interesting handicap and it could pay to take a chance on BASHIR BIYOUM ZAIN. All three of his wins to date have come on the all-weather but, if he can transfer his best form to turf, he should go very close. Solent Ridge had a good season last term and makes plenty of appeal on his return with Johnny Murtagh taking the ride. His stablemate, Cosmic Breeze, is also considered with Northern Rocked making up the shortlist.
A tightly-knit handicap, but one who starts the year with some untapped potential is Slade, so he gets a tentative vote. Three Way Stretch comes here match fit after a good reappearance last week and should go close again if in the same form, while Mountain Coral ended last year in good heart and is on a workable mark.

HISTORY NOTE was given a nice introduction at the Curragh in October last year, managing to win without Fran Berry having to get too serious, and she has the scope to develop into a genuine classic contender this year. Wild Wind struggled in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes when last seen but she still merits respect this afternoon. Katla can also get involved while the lightly raced Manieree should not be left out of calculations in an intriguing renewal.
Katla's stamina for 7f is unproven, so she's probably best discounted for win purposes even though she has the best form in the race. That leaves Wild Wind and History Note, and the former is taken to make her greater experience count, especially as she has a couple of stablemates in the line-up to help ensure a true test.

BROAD MEANING can make his race fitness tell here. A winner at Galway, he was off the track for nearly two years and showed little of his old form last year. However, he's put in two fine efforts on the all-weather in England recently and can win this if reproducing that form. Elusive Ridge scored twice at Dundalk at the end of last season but hasn't shown the same ability on turf while Gimli's Rock was sixth off this mark at The Curragh last week but wasn't far away on that occasion and can be given a chance.
A handicap that isn't as strong as it first appears and Gimli's Rock is a confident selection with a highly encouraging run at the Curragh last weekend under his belt. Two others who are ridden by promising claimers and should give a good account are Broad Meaning and Park Ranger.

A return to anything like the form that saw Enchanted Forest finishing second in a pair of maidens in July would give him claims with Watch The Birdie worth considering having finished second of six over 1m3f at Dundalk when last sighted in December. The well bred Haziyna could be capable of much better than she showed in three starts back in the Autumn and her opening mark certainly gives her options. Similar sentiments also apply to Madeira Classic but VALBONNE really stuck up her neck when opening her account over 7f at Dundalk in December and there should be a bit more to come from her.
Not an easy race to assess so it could pay to look for a bit of value in the shape of Hangar Five, who left the firm impression this trip would suit when sixth in a nursery here last autumn. Of those likely to be towards the head of the market, Haziyna and Valbonne both make plenty of appeal.

This looks the ideal opportunity for APACHE to open his account at the second time of asking. He did nothing wrong when going down by a head over a mile at The Curragh last October first time out. He has very little to find on that effort and his breeding suggests he'll be suited by today's trip. Alayir was third in both starts last year and looks a major threat here but chances can also be given to Train Of Thought, fourth at Navan on his debut, and the newcomer Casimir Road.
Apache looks open to considerable improvement after an eye-catching second on his only start at 2 yrs and should take this maiden en route to better things. Alayir and Massabini are the biggest dangers from those with prior experience, but any money for the newcomers Casimir Raod and Tazaamun should be noted.
