As is so often the case with Hannon juveniles, VENTURA BLUES improved significantly for a satisfactory debut when only needing to be nudged home to score at Kempton and can follow up here despite the concession of weight all round as she looked to have plenty more to offer that day. Sean Levey has a superb record when riding for owner John Fretwell and Coping Stone, a close third on her Redcar debut, seems sure to give the combination a good run here. All four newcomers need a market check with Juddmonte's Imperial City making most appeal on paper.

Competitive fare with nothing ruled out and THE COMMENDATORE is a far from confident choice. He frequently seemed to spurn winning chances in maidens when with John Gosden whilst racking up place money but seemed to display a far more robust approach on his second start for David Barron when powering away to land a Nottingham handicap. The Furtado yard remains one to watch and a good run is anticipated reverting to the minimum trip. Putemintheboot is a possible improver after a promising latest effort but East Street Revue looks the main danger after scoring cosily over this trip and ground at Hamilton. He's looked on the upgrade the last twice and should play a prominent role despite the concession of weight all round.
