LAYLA'S OASIS got off the mark in good style in a 5f Wolverhampton handicap last time and a reproduction of that effort would be more than good enough to take first prize here. Tartan Blue was not disgraced on her debut over 5f at Southwell and she should improve for that experience so is worth a second look with Silvestre De Sousa taking over from Hannah Nunn. Many Elements could fare best of the other trio.

Royal Etiquette has been raised 3lb for his C&D success last month but that might not prevent another big run. Having A Ball is also respected despite a 5lb rise for his C&D success last time. Daffydowndilly also merits respect along with Fairyinthewind but a chance is taken on GUARDA PAMPA. She has shown some promise in maidens and rates an interesting contender on her first foray into handicap company.

Chrissycross scored over a mile at Lingfield last time but the combination of a 6lb rise in the weights and step up in trip make her opposable here. Diplomatic and Officer In Command have each-way claims but SIM SALA BIM gets the nod. He has not been at his best in three runs this year but has dropped to his last winning handicap mark and better can be expected now.

Rivellino struggled in Listed company at Ayr last time but his debut effort was very promising and he has to be respected. Millers Wharf is becoming exposed but he can make his presence felt if running to his mark of 73. Freddy With A Y is also respected while the two Charles Hills-trained newcomers, Dubai Applause and Fire Fairy, are worth a market check.

HARRIS TWEED was most disappointing in a Newbury Group 3 contest last month but he is capable of much better and he comes out best on these terms. If he puts his best foot forward, then he will take all the beating. Art Scholar comes into this in terrific form but he is 1lb worse off with Communicator than when beating him in a 1m4f Doncaster handicap last time. Media Hype is a useful sort when at the top of his game and he also merits consideration.

Watch out for: Art Scholar (2)

Harris Tweed is the one to beat on his best form, but he's largely had a disappointing campaign and is taken on with November Handicap 1-2 Art Scholar and Communicator, the former fancied to come out on top again.

KALOKAGATHIA has proved expensive to follow and he was turned over at long odds-on last time but he does not appear to do a lot wrong and he might be able to get his head in front this evening. Blank Czech was also beaten at long odds-on last time but he does look a tricky customer and he might be one to avoid. The biggest danger to the selection could be Rockalong, who stepped up markedly on his debut effort to finish runner-up at Lingfield last time.

Top Tip: Kalokagathia (3)
Watch out for: Rockalong (4)

Rockalong was much improved last time and, with the possibility of more to come, is fancied to get off the mark. Blank Czech has had more chances than most but shouldn't be too far away, whilst any support for newcomer Zaminate should be heeded.
