EXOTIC ISLE showed plenty of encouraging signs when fifth on her racecourse debut at Sandown in May and, entitled to have learnt plenty from that experience, she could be worth siding with here. Bold Prediction has shown plenty of speed in his races so dropping down to the minimum trip for the first time tonight should cause him no problems, while Southwell runner-up Max The Machine certainly isn't out of it either.

It could pay to side with ASATIR in the first-time cheekpieces. The Godolphin representative is one from one on polytrack and shaped as though stepping back up in trip would help when a staying-on second over 1m at Pontefract latest. Henry Clay only found the progressive Jawhar too good at Newbury last Friday and he warrants plenty of respect lining up off the same mark here, while Valiant Girl and Pilgrims Rest are others to note in what looks a competitive handicap.

Another trappy handicap to bring proceedings to a close and marginal preference is for GEORGE FENTON. He gained a deserved success in the mud at Hamilton on Monday and was successful when last tried on this surface at Wolverhampton in March, so he may be able to defy a 6lb penalty tonight.
