FARNCOMBE gained a convincing first career victory in a claimer at Lingfield last time and he looks all set to strike again while the iron is still hot. This keen front-runner should soon be in control of the proceedings. Too Tall is still a maiden after 10 tries but has run well in handicaps on his last three outings. Why Nee Amy was a staying on second at Wolverhampton over a furlong shorter than this and can make the frame once again.
Farncombe should make a bold bid to follow up his recent Lingfield win but this could be the race in which Too Tall finally gets off the mark on his first start for a new yard. Why Nee Amy looks poised to go well, too.

It should be worth taking a chance on FLORENTIA to get back on the winning trail this afternoon. Sir Mark Prescott's filly has had a good season, landing a double at Bath and Folkestone before failing at Wolverhampton, but a return to this trip should be ideal for her. Via Mia keeps edging closer to success and will be very hard to keep out of the frame and In Secret can go well again after just missing out over this trip at Bath last time.
Florentia got going too late at Wolverhampton but the extra yardage here will help and she can resume winning ways, perhaps at the chief expense of Via Mia. If reproducing her latest effort on this surface, In Secret should also be thereabouts.

This shouldn't take a great deal of winning and the vote goes to KHANIVOROUS who has shown up well in two starts so far, including when fourth over 5f here on his latest start back in June. Stepped up to 7f tonight and armed with a handy draw, he makes most appeal. The others with previous experience to call upon look modest and the biggest danger could come in the shape of the Mark Johnston-trained newcomer Staff Sergeant. Kyoatee Kilt could fare of the best.
Brian Meehan sets a bit of a poser here with Penrod Ballantyne and Cojo, and the market ought to steer punters in the right direction. The former looked unfortunate on his debut and is taken to make the necesarry improvement. Staff Sergeant would be dangerous if the market vibes are positive on debut.

Brian Meehan could enjoy a back-to-back double here with LIBERTINO, who boasts the best form in the contest after finishing half a length second to Regency Art at Warwick. He was staying on well at the end of that 6f contest and this extra furlong should prove ideal. Aktia took a keen hold early on when unplaced at Yarmouth last time but will get closer if he manages to settle better and Hypnotized has shown promise in both his races thus far.
Hypnotized is a scopey sort who has shown enough to suggest a small race of this nature is within his capabilities and this could be it. Libertino and Aktia look obvious dangers.

KING OF DEFENCE gave backers a scare last time but he recovered well from a poor start to win going away over C&D. He had more in hand than the length margin suggests and Michael Jarvis' gelding can double up. Leelu has run over this C&D in her last two races, winning one and finishing third in the other and another couple to consider are Goodbye Cash and Musical Script, both of whom missed the kick last time but can do better.
King Of Defence did well to overcome trouble in running to break his duck here last time and can continue on his upward curve. Goodbye Cash, Loyal Royal and Musical Script also boast solid claims and shouldn't be too far away.
