Ir is hard to oppose DELIRE D'ESTRUVAL, despite the fact that he has to give upwards of 12lb to all of his rivals. The son of Youmzain won a Listed hurdle at Haydock back in November and he bolted up in a similar event to this at Towcester two starts ago. Calix Delafayette won an Ayr bumper back in March last year but he will need to improve on his hurdles debut to give the selection a race today. The rest do not inspire a lot of confidence but Sunny Destination is the pick of them.

GERONIMO has filled second place in all of his starts to date but this lightly-raced seven-year-old is the one to beat this afternoon. Sandy Thomson's gelding was only narrowly denied at Carlisle last month and a 3lb rise in the ratings for that effort appears to be fair enough. Chicoria and Road To Gold have to be respected following recent good efforts, while Tomkevi is another to consider.
