QUATRO PIERJI was narrowly held by Pyracantha last time out but is on more preferential terms today and can turn the tables on that form. James Moffatt's charge made a mistake half-way round which may have affected his chances of holding on in the latter stages. That said, it was a fine effort by Pyracantha who pulled away after the last and will be the main danger once again today. Twentynineblack has been knocking on the door since his return from a winter break and is hard to rule out.
Pyracantha won with enough to spare at Kelso last month to think he can confirm placings with Quatro Pierji and Quacity, even on worse terms. Quacity may improve enough to take second, with Twentynineblack and Montoya's Son the others with a decent chance on form.

Prioryjo was a well-beaten third on her latest effort over C&D but she should prefer the softer ground this afternoon. She won in heavy ground at Sedgefield back in March and warrants plenty of respect. The selection, however, is for DR VALENTINE who won handsomely on his penultimate effort and followed it up with a second in a selling hurdle at Bangor recently. He's taken well to hurdling and has plenty of scope to progress further. Josephine Malines is without a win since last July but has been knocking at the door recently.
There's likely to be plenty of pace on, with most of the fancied runners sure to be prominent from the off. Those include Dr Valentine, who makes the most appeal of Ann Duffield's 2 representatives. However, it may pay to side with the veteran Dunaskin, who has the aid of blinkers back over a shorter trip. Wee Forbees could also get involved.

It may pay to stick with BENNY THE PILER here following two solid efforts recently. He finished second over C&D last month to back-up his third at Ayr back in March. He looks to be progressing in the right direction and could finally open his account in this sphere. The obvious danger comes from Billsgrey who scored with plenty in hand over 3m2f at the start of April; it was an impressive performance following a short break but he's been hit with a 13lb rise for that success. Editors Rose finished second that day but should go closer this afternoon.
Billsgrey looked on the upgrade when winning at Carlisle last time and may be able to defy a 13 lb rise, with the runner-up that day, Editors Rose, again appealing as the main danger. Impact Zone didn't shape like a thorough stayer at this sort of trip last time but is unlikely to be far away all the same.

It could pay to side with ZELOS DIKTATOR in what looks a wide open contest. He certainly wasn't stopping when landing a seller over 2m4f at Wetherby almost two weeks ago and may be able to defy an 8lb hike in the handicap. Southern raider Monsieur Cadou has been knocking on the door recently and seems sure to be in the thick of the action once again, while Flying Doctor is quickly turned out following a comfortable victory at Wetherby on Thursday and cannot be left out of calculations.
Flying Doctor emerged from the doldrums in fine style at Wetherby on Thursday night, landing plenty of support in the process, and he'll be mighty hard to stop under a penalty if those exertions haven't left a mark. Monsieur Cadou and Thatlldoforme appeal most of the rest.

Solway Sam ran out a comfortable winner at Perth last time and is unlikely to go down without fighting, while Soulard arrives here on the back of a couple of victories over fences and bids to exploit a lenient hurdles mark.
Soulard is in the form of his life over fences, and has to be the call reverting to hurdles. Given what Solway Sam achieved in bumpers, it's safe to assume there's more to come from him as a hurdler, and he rates a danger along with Aint She The Lady.
