MIGHT I created a big impression when winning impressively on his hurdling debut at Newton Abbot last month and that form was boosted when the second won last weekend. The son of Fame And Glory looks to have a very bright future and he should take plenty of stopping. That said, Sonigino should not be underestimated on his debut for these connections having won twice in France earlier in the year. Others to note are Barrichello and It's Good To Laugh.

Bristol De Mai regained his crown, winning this race for the third time, last season and is sure to be fighting fit as he bids to strike again, but Irish raider A PLUS TARD is 6lb and upwards ahead of these rivals (with Bristol De Mai next best) on official ratings and his class could shine through. A slight concern would be that he usually improves for his first run back, but Henry de Bromhead could have him further forward this season given the magnitude of this race and he is undoubtedly the class act in this line-up having finished off last term with a cracking runner-up effort in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. He's only seven and, worryingly for his rivals in the staying division, could be even better this campaign. Waiting Patiently is a fascinating runner making his stable debut for Christian Williams, while Next Destination is certainly no back number equipped with first-time cheekpieces.

With little weight on his back, especially with Jack Tudor's valuable claim taken into consideration, this represents a fantastic opportunity for STRICTLYADANCER to complete the hat-trick. He built on his October Cheltenham success when even more impressive back at Prestbury Park last week and a further 7lb rise in the ratings probably won't be enough to anchor him. Empire Steel goes well fresh and warrants plenty of respect making his first start since pulling up in Grade 1 company at the Aintree Festival in April, while course winner Ramses De Teillee is likely to improve on his comeback spin over hurdles at Newton Abbot last month.
