The Osteopath and Zero Tolerance went close last time but are up in the weights, while We'll Come is running well but may need help from the handicapper. Yamal has won five of his nine starts but only got home by a head last time at Goodwood and has another 7lb to carry now. It's worth taking a chance on York winner DECAMERON, who was beaten a neck over this trip at Newmarket on his handicap debut. He has another 2lb here but looks open to plenty of improvement after just four starts.

Bel Cantor is highly-consistent sort but an extra 3lb for his neck win at Pontefract could cause him problems. Joseph Henry has run well off similar marks but seems to have lost the knack of winning, while Cape scored at Doncaster first time out this season but could be in the grip of the handicapper now. ZOMERLUST is not the most reliable but loves the mud and won in this grade two starts ago. He's reasonably treated here and is worth taking a chance on today.

Flying Clarets boasts a good strike-rate but in handicaps and she's yet to show the ability to land a contest such as this. The lightly-raced Spanish Moon has had his problems but after he won a Listed race at Ascot on his seasonal reappearance, good things were expected. He's failed to deliver, however, and doesn't inspire confidence. Smokey Oakey is in fine form and won in this grade last time. He has obvious claims but preference is for MULTIDEMINSIONAL, yet to win in five starts this year but a Group 2 winner in France two years ago. He's been running at the very top level recently and is likely to prove too good back in this company.

Cheshire Prince is on a hat trick but saves his best form for Chester, has a 6lb penalty and is up in class. Drill Sergeant won first time out this season but has failed to follow up and is rising in the weights again, while Ezdiyaad has won three of his eight starts but might be in the handicapper's grip at present. It's worth taking a chance on SUITS ME, who has returned to form with two near misses here. He's rising in the weights but this looks his optimum trip nowadays and he gets the vote today.

This should go to EVELYN MAY, a very easy winner over 5f at Great Leighs last month on just her third start. She's shown ability on turf and looks reasonably weighted on her handicap debut. She should take all the beating here, although Red Rossini impressed when breaking his duck last time out at Windsor and could pose a threat. Lingfield all-weather winner City For Conquest went close off this mark latest and can't be ruled out while Ingleby Princess is reasonably weighted on her Hamilton success but seems to have lost her way. Okafranca was a very easy winner last time at Folkestone but is far from reliable and has another 9lb to carry now. Next Of Kin is knocking on the door but rising in the weights while Beautiful Lady only got home by a head at Thirsk last time and may struggle with another 5lb. It could pay to side with DUBAI PETAL, who scored off a 1lb higher mark at the start of the season. She showed signs last time, when second over this trip at Nottingham, of a return to form and can go one better today.
