THOMAS PATRICK won well at Exeter 10 days ago and he will be hard to beat today if running to the same level of form. Un Guet Apens is another last time out winner in the field, following his recent Carlisle success, and he has an obvious chance today. Achill Road Boy, Chicoria and Pop Rockstar are others to consider.
THOMAS PATRICK showed much-improved form to make a winning handicap debut at Exeter recently, clearly relishing the marked step up in trip. Still unexposed, he is fancied to make a bold bid under a penalty. Carlisle chase winner Un Guet Apens can also feature, while Pop Rockstar is worth keeping an eye on too.

Ballydine brings the best form to the table, based on his second-placed finish to Barters Hill in a Grade 2 novice hurdle, but the 607-day break is an obvious concern. Rolling Dylan won a handicap off a mark of 132 last time out but the 5lb penalty he has to carry today leaves him vulnerable. With that in mind, the preference is for SAINTE LADYLIME, who also has to carry a penalty but being a mare, she still gets weight from her rivals this afternoon. The six-year-old beat a talented rival last time out and she has an obvious chance today.
With the emphasis likely to be on stamina, ROLLING DYLAN appears as the type to be ideally suited by such a test, and gets the nod. Buster Thomas remains lightly raced and he should improve from his chasing/handicap debut last month, while Sainte Ladylime needs to improve her jumping, but remains with potential as a chaser.

JUST GEORGIE came in for solid support on his return to chasing when second at Bangor last time out and was unlucky behind a well-treated animal. He looks well worth a go over this extra distance and could take advantage of a winnable opening. Purple Harry did it well at Kelso when last seen in May but looks likely to be using this to prepare for the Eider Chase at Newcastle early next year, while the consistent Whiskey Chaser isn't easy to win with but should be thereabouts.

RAVENSDALE was only beaten by a well-regarded Ben Pauling bumper horse at Southwell when last seen in October and could build on those exertions now tackling further over hurdles. An Irish point-to-point winner and out of a half-sister to the classy Time For Rupert, he looks sure to appreciate this test. Duke Debarry has some form behind some potentially smart novices' and has to be respected for the Nicky Henderson team, while Spider's Bite remains open to improvement and is another to note.
There was plenty to like about RAVENSDALE’s debut under Rules when runner-up in a bumper at Southwell in October, and he looks one to keep on the right side of now switched to hurdling moving up in trip. Spider’s Bite should appreciate this test and rates the main danger ahead of Duke Debarry.

ONE FOR HARRY looked in need of the run at Carlisle on his reappearance four weeks ago and is fancied to bounce back to form despite the burden of carrying top weight. The nine-year-old's Kelso second to the classy Cyrus Darius back in February rates as particularly strong form, and perhaps Ryan Day's 3lb claim will prove crucial here.
