MR. COOLEY was a close second over C&D in this grade last time out and a reproduction of that effort will put him in the picture. My Friend Nev has solid claims on his best form and should be thereabouts. Bootdim is not the most consistent but has more than enough ability to make his presence felt.
Eager Beaver is likely to go off at quite short odds here despite not having shaped like a surefire winner in his three runs so far so he is opposed with LAS VEGAS GLENN who led for a long way over a mile last time and will appreciate the drop to 6f. American Spy is an interesting debutante.
BREEZE KEEPER was thwarted in his bid for a hat trick over this C&D last time but he was hampered at a crucial stage and can return to winning ways here. Lambada takes a slight drop in grade and is the main danger. Cavalry disappointed when upped in grade last time but back at this level he can go well.
Too Many Sins was a narrow second twice at Arlington prior to disappointing last time out and he will be a major contender if back to form. GRAND TRIO recorded a pillar to post success at Presque Isle Downs last time and he will be hard to catch. Tactoro won over 6f here and could go well if handling this trip.
The Foundry could not handle hotter company last time but has claims back at this level. DREAM SMART went close over C&D last time out and a reproduction of that effort will put him on the premises in this contest. Blackjack Frank was an easy winner over C&D last time and is considered but this looks tougher.
SWEET FLEET FEET showed plenty of speed on his debut over five and a half furlongs at Arlington and with that experience under his belt he can go one better this time. Dumar has been shaping well in his workouts of late and he could prove the main danger. Master Speak has shown ability and can also play a part in the finish.
The Alcova Kid has only been out of the frame once in his last seven runs and he is respected but for win purposes it might be best to stick with DRIVINGMAXANDMITZI who won over a mile here on the first of the month and knows where the winning post is. Citi Smoke is useful and has place possibilities.
This looks a bit stronger than the event which Warrior Within won over 6f here last time out and there might be one to beat him this time. FIDDLER scored over this trip at Arlington last time out and could have a decent opportunity to follow up. Pirate Saint has a chance if returning to his best form.
