Holy Geri will be one to watch following a close second last time out and has recorded an impressive victory over course and distance recently. RAVIN MANIAC has been in fine form with two wins since the turn of the year and should go on to make it a hat-trick, while Mon Jolene has solid place claims having made a habit of finishing second. Dubious has failed to score a victory since last June although did finish three lengths behind Ravin Maniac in December.
JAGUAR PLACE looks set to make the step up and record a first win following two second place finishes over C&D in the last month. The strongest challenge should come from B B's Best Bet who finished three lengths behind Jaguar Place and ran into fourth spot last time out. Jade Man gave an impressive debut showing to run into fifth and could make enough improvement to move up into the places.
Stratos will look to return to winning ways following a third place on his only run this year but he will face stiff competition from COLLIDIN who has three wins from his last four. His last victory the most impressive when he drew clear and won by over three lengths. Seven Mile Bridge could be a danger to both following decent place finishes and the drop in class could see him into the reckoning. Street Contender was a close third last time out and shouldn't be disregarded.
Molander will be looking for a better result than his fifth last time out and has been unlucky not to record a victory here with a handful of seconds. JOY FROM PHOENIX will be looking to make a late charge for the victory and after two seconds can change his fortune this time. Ameriheart will appreciate the drop in class and despite two recent failures will look back on a favourable end to 2009 which saw four place finishes in succession.
Criminally Insilver will be looking for further improvement under Tommy Molina after a third place finish in their last outing. Cart's Slew disappointed last time out finishing eighth but a third place the time before that is more encouraging and he could have place claims. WEEKEND PASS should run well after a drop in class and could be the one to beat although Invisible Star's owner and trainer Alnaz Ali will be hoping to feature.
Rockin Inthe Rain has yet to disappoint and will be well backed after finishing in the top two the last four times he has run. GGLAD could be the one he has to beat to return to winning ways. Dawn Martin's charge won convincingly last time out and could replicate that performance in this class. High On Top is another who will expect to feature and won well last time out over C&D and has two wins in his last three outings.
Mister Scott has been knocking at the door after a couple of unfortunate breaks which have seen him just miss out. T.V. Alphin is another who was unlucky to finish third last time after being badly hampered and could certainly be one to watch this time. MARCUS AURELIUS is lightly raced but won over C&D last time out and could well put in a repeat performance to land another win. Palace Tenor has been out of action December and could be one to follow in the market.
Kathleen L is on a hat-trick of C&D successes and she should go well again but this is a little tougher than the races she has been winning and slight preference is for TIGER'S SONG. Wayne Catalano's consistent filly has been in good heart at this level and looks the most solid option in a tricky contest. Big Lou is a capable performer at this level on her day and can also get involved.
A SHOT AWAY shaped with plenty of promise when finishing runner-up on her debut over this C&D last month and she is sure to improve a good deal for that experience so she can go one better this time. There are a few interesting newcomers to consider including Beyondallboundarys and Silver Age who have both been showing promise in their recent workouts.
